Good for kids? No

The movie is very touching especially for someone from that part of the world like myself. Tabu's (mother) and Irrfan Khan's (father) acting was amazing. The whole premise shows how an indian/south asian family is interconnected and what the parents (new immigrants) actually have to go through to settle down and adjust. I wouldn't rate Kal Penn's acting as one of his finest because i personally think he didn't do justice to the character. Though i'm a big fan of Kal's. I would recommend everyone to watch this movie.
