Brilliant filmaking on a subject very close to many of us. The characters of both Laura Finney and Phillip Seymour Hoffman can be identified in so many disfunctional families and yet, they both leave opportunities open to strengthen and improve their relationships. Philip Bosco's performance is wonderful in a most difficult role. Having experienced first hand what Dementia can do-my late father suffered through this in his last days, I can fully relate to this movie. Oscar calibre performances and well deserved.
