Extremely compelling, gets under your skin

I saw the movie last night at the NY Film Festival. 12 hours later, I have not been able to get the historical truth and story told by the film out of my mind. It is a very important story, one that many people in my generation are completely unaware of. At the end of the film, I was in tears, unable to believe what i had seen. People applauded. I could not understand how one can applaud at the end of such a film. Could one applaud at the end of a documentary showing the attrocities of Auschwitz? This movie is very compelling. I would recommend that everyone, especially the young, see it.
