Once in awhile you come across a great movie

"This assembly line critic is trying to kill a GREAT movie like YONKERS JOE because his soul purpose for watching movies are to review them - maybe he's afraid he'll lose his job if he goes on the limb for a film that isn't safe - he's certainly afraid to sign his name. Which shows he hasn't the courage, compassion or ability to allow a film to move him. He's only looking for simple redeeming values. And all he sees are the misgivings of a "con artist." I'm not a critic, I'm a gambler but I know that Yonkers Joe is NOT a "con artist" because I WATCHED the movie. He's a card and dice mechanic who doesn't con anybody -- in fact the plot of the movie is him resisting the "con." Did this bashful critic even see the movie? I LOVED IT all the way through. SEE IT and decide for yourself."
- The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
- If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
- Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
- Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
