Rude Staff, clean theater, nice selection of movies

  • No, I would not go back!

Yesterday I went to AMC Lowes at 1538 3rd Ave with several other young professionals. We purchased out tickets at the machines and a staff member ripped our tickets. We then proceed past him (in the direction of theater 1, as he directed) to get some refreshments and used the facilities before the movie started (about 30 mins). The young man who ripped our tickets, said "where do you think you are going", and interrupted us as we tried to ask questions by saying over and over "Back of the line". He wouldn't answer any questions and when 2 of my group of ~10 said they would like to use the restroom, he responded "I'm only letting one of you go". The restroom had several stalls and only 1 other person in them. I would have found this behavior rude if we were a group of young, mischievous children, but it was even worse being that we were in or around our 30s. Additionally, the young man had other co-workers witnessing his behavior and not helping us in any way. This theater does have a nice selection of movies, is in a nice area, I'd imagine with nice concessions (we weren't allowed back with sufficient time) and would have been a very nice experience with different staff.
