Save your time and money

This restaurant was beyond disappointing. We showed up right on time for our reservations and still waited outside for 30 mins. Our waitress was appalling at best. It took another 30 mins for her to take our order only to have her come back 20 mins after that to explain that the special she had talked about was actually on the list of food that was not available (which was a good 1/3 of menu.) It was another 45 minutes until our food came, which was another disappointment. Meat with no flavor, cold vegetables, and small plates were not what I was expecting. The manager offered us cookies as appeasement, but they were sub-par and ended up on our check at the end of night.
worst service and staff in new york

i ate here for brunch today and it was abominable. the food was really mediocre, but worst of all was the service! the service here is slow and the staff lie to their customers. it took them 30 minutes to get cocktails to us while we waited for our food for about an hour (and the restaurant wasn't even very busy!). they had to be reminded several times about our cocktails, as well complimentary bread & butter for the table, and we had to ask them after 45minutes to check on where the food was. we were so unhappy that we asked to speak to the manager. instead, they sent over the hostess, who lied to us and told us she was the manager when asked up front. when we told her about our concerns, she didn't even apologize. she just said "ok". my friends eventually found the real manager, who was not particularly apologetic either. overall, i was disgusted by the poor service in the restaurant. the worst i've ever seen in a restaurant, anywhere.
Good food, ehh atmosphere, informal & confusing waiters

In the first 2 minutes of being seated we had about 3 different waiters stop at our table and awkwardly ask if we were ready to order or told us about the soup of the day. Staff was a bit too informal/casual and it seemed more like random guys were picked off the street to waiter for the night in the restaurant. Before we received our apps, one of the waiters insisted on taking the bread basket away with bread still in it - awkward moment. My meal was delicious (hummus, salmon dinner, chocolate chip cookie sandwich). However, my friend's burger, ordered medium -well, was entirely bright pink on the inside. Desserts (cc sandwich, PB&J sandwich) were great though; if we go back again, I think it would be for desserts only. Coffee had grinds it - that is annoying. Prices were very good though. Decor needs work - walls were blank, music was random, and lighting appeared to get darker and lighter throughout the night.
Great food, fun time: All comfort

I was here last night with my friends and we all really enjoyed our dinner. It started with the host seated us after a short wait. While waiting at the bar the bartender made us some great drinks and told us his favorites on the menu. Once seated our server was nice and was able to answer all of our questions (some may have been a little crazy). We decided to go with some of the favorites for our apps like the crab fritters, mushroom flatbread, mac and cheese. For my entree i had the roasted chicken with a side pot pie, its was great but i thought the crust could have been a little better (just being a critic). The desserts were my favorite, the PP&J is a must have.. wow. I really like the decor and music but the table next to us got a little too loud and one point. I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu (the tuna looked really good).
