In today's culinary world of molecular gastronomy, local sourcing, and celebrity chefs, no establishments stands as strong as the Times Square Applebees. The chili cheese nacho's queso cheese sauce can only be described as a delicate gelee reminiscent of a hot afternoon in an alley in Mexico City. The locally sourced cockroaches add a special and memorable crunch to your Oriental Chicken Salad. And while the talented chefs may have never won a cooking competition, several have been featured in the New York Post's police blotter on multiple occasions. Blue Hill at Stone Barns.....watch out!

i was going to give applebee's stellar reviews, until i noticed they took jalapeno poppers off their appetizer menu. what the hell applebee's?! those things are freaking delicious. fried, greasy outer layer, cream cheese spilling out of it and then a teeny tiny jalapeno pepper inside. and that dipping sauce. i don't know what the hell it was, but it was heaven. and now it's all gone. for shame applebee's. for shame.

One sweltering hot afternoon, a fresh-faced high school senior wandered into an Applebee's looking for summer employment...and maybe, in a way, looking for herself. What she found would strip away the last vestiges of childhood's innocence, leaving her colder yet stronger: when she turned in her resignation that September, she knew that life isn't always easy, that sometime chicken comes with grill-marks dyed on the frozen meat, that love can't heal all wounds and most people are lousy tippers. What it worth it? Well, she moved on to bigger and better things, but sometimes, when the wind whips through the pines smelling of fried foods and powdered daiquiri mix, she hears a ghostly, sorrow-ridden chorus: "Happy Happy Birthday, from Applebee's to you, We wish it was our birthday, So we could party too." Shuddering, the girl pulls her sweater tightly around herself, cold with the knowledge that the price of her dignity was a few hundred dollars and a misspelled name-tag. But swallowing the sobs she holds her head high: no matter what depths she sank to as one of the tortured minions of the Apple Bee, at least she didn't work at TGIFs. Those guys were losers. And with that thought, the girl walks home.

the applebees in my village has under gone some changes under new ownership...all for the better. same great service , very good food served promptly, and most affordable.. missing was the clutter of wall hanging sleds and bongos, revealing a clean streamed lined look. i don't think i.ve ever had a bad experience there, which leads into a predictably good time. salads and soups are crisp and tasty, dinner entrees are crowd pleasers. i think i just talked myself into going to applebees tonight. maybe see you there !! and yes i will go back

As a lover of food, art, and the art of food, I can recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Applebees captures the essence of Meximericasia-fusion with effortless brilliance in such standouts as the Jack Daniels Steak Fajitas and the Cajun Lime Tilapia. The wine list while on the small side is more than supplemented by the bold and expansive mixed drink menu featuring DeKuyper spirits. The decor is filled with NYC Time Square touches transforming a seemingly cookie cutter chain restaurant into a true New York restaurant experience. This is an extremely popular location due to the close proximity of the movie theater so expect to wait, this restaurant does not take reservations.

Rebecca Rose, better than your Fort Wayne, Indiana experience, I have been to the Applebee's in Lebanon, Missouri. Google that shit. But anyways, as the Lebanon Applebee's was, I am sure the NYC location is, the height of culture. All the newest trends in restaurant decor, it was like SarcasticMeow herself decorated it. Why go anywhere else when Applebee's has the bigger and better selection! And what delicacies too! Who else can mix Mexican and Chinese into wonton tacos? No one does it like Applebee's. Pride of America, the essence of gastronomy.

Wow, Applebee's!!! And I get to be the first to review it!! Oh joy-joy!! I have actually never been to the Applebee's in New York...but I have been to the one in FORT WAYNE, INDIANA...so we'll just with that. And how awesome is it that in NEW YORK CITY, home to the greatest restaurants in the world, you can eat an Applebee's? Wow!! That's like waking up to find out you're married to Johnny Depp...but you have to sleep with John Goodman! AMAZING!!!
