I recently moved to the area and been looking for my "local". This is it! Not only do they have a killer whisky list, great reasonably priced wines and surprisingly good cocktails the food is great too. I have tried several of the bruschetta, the sausage panini (to die for), the meatballs and the pasta special. All were great, I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. I love that they serve late too, I rolled in at 1am on Friday and was able to get a late dinner, and it was happy hour! WHat more could you want in a neighborhood place? The staff has also been friendly and even directed me to other places in the hood I have to check out. I will def be back.
terrible, rude service

Friends took me to Bocca Lupo recently and I loved it. When I went back last night, I was shocked that two-thirds of the way through the meal they flipped on the lights to full brightness and started -- very loudly -- stacking chairs on the tables. If they wanted to close, they should have given us a 30 minute warning, politely, rather than the passive aggressive hovering and glaring we experienced. The waitress actually reached across my plate, without a word, to collect her signed receipt. It would have been almost comical -- how NOT to run a restaurant -- if it hadn't been so rude and made me hesitate to ever go back there.

My husband and I love going here. It is always our first stop when we are in town visiting family. The "dirty little secret" is my favorite cocktail, and we have never been disapointed with the pasta or risotto of the day!
My favorite spot in Cobble Hill

In a place littered with great dining options, this is without a doubt my favorite place in the neighborhood. The brunch is to die for - really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
wonderful brooklyn spot

The food is amazing. They have a this wonderful always changing cheese plate with walnuts and honey. They offer creatively delicious bruscetta options, and the best juicy roasted chicken pesto panini I have ever tasted. Seriously. They also have great drink menu, with a huge selection of fine whiskeys, complete with handy little taste descriptions on the menu. The service is overall very good, but it can be a little slow on weekend nights. It's not a great family spot, but it's perfect for dates, business meetings, and grabbing a drink and appetizers with friends.
Great neighborhood eats!

I have been here a few times and enjoyed it immensely. The service was great when I was there and the bartender even made me a great non-alcoholic drink that was delicious. My favorites are the zucchini which is so simple but so good, and the panna cotta which has just enough mint so as not to overwhelm. Will definitely go back again and again!

When I lived in the neighborhood this was one of our standbys. I recommend arugula salad, nightly pasta or risotto special and mint panna cotta. It is a simple, delicious spot. If you go on the early side there are usually young kids accompanying their parents. Later in the evening the lighting is nice and dim. It's wonderful for good conversation and a couple glasses of wine.

UNINSPIRING, Same old food

I've been a rather regular customer of Bocca Lupo only because I'm too lazy to go to 'Inoteca or Il Posto Accanto in Manhattan (both restaurants which seem eerily similar to Bocca Lupo...hmm). The menu never changes and the food is not that great to go back. The pasta dishes are forgettable and wimpy. It's really loud in there too so it's not like you can actually enjoy the unoriginal decor, which is nice. The service is good, however. Very nice staff. I'll take the trip into the city next time. At least I will be satisfied.
