I thought the hostess seemed a bit pretentious about seating us when the restaurant was only 20% full upon arrival, but it did fill up. Food was great and our server was very attentive. I had the fig and arugula salad to start, and for some reason it was really salty. I asked the server and he immediately replaced it. For the main I had the short ribs. Very good, not fatty, and the foie gras was cooked to perfection. For dessert, had the berries and marscapone cream, which were the perfect ending. I would go back.

A nice and cosy atmosphere, to have a brunch with friends after shopping or like me, just to relax, have a book with a coffee (a good coffee !) I will definitely come back ! SÃ©bastien, Paris (FRANCE).

The Cafe Cluny burger came out rather quick which I was happy about, open faced on the plate with a mass of herb seasoned French fries, crispy bacon, creamy Gruyere and a plump slightly toasted sesame seed bun. My first bite was Smokey and deep in flavor, I still remember it being a lasting flavor that was repeated with every savored bite. I ordered my burger medium and it was exceptionally conceived with those exact requirements, the Cluny burger was a great, solid, full flavored example of how a bistro style burger should be. I don't claim to be a burger expert, but The Cluny burger stimulated my taste buds beyond belief and for an unexpected visit that day, my stomach thought Christmas had come again.

I ordered the linguine with cockles. It turned out to be angel hair pasta, which I would not have ordered. The portion was ridiculusly small. Is pasta such an expensive ingredent? Worst of all, it was disgustingly salty. I really wanted to send it back, except I thought it would ruin it for my dinner companion. My friend had the scallops appitizer. He liked it, but for $13 he was expecting more than two. My red wine was served too warm in a warm wine glass. The one bright spot was the service, which was friendly. Be prepared to spend a lot and walk away hungry.

Not sure what they are using on the grill but food was dripping in grease from the hash to the hamburger. Crowded, noisy and not a pleasant spot for a Saturday brunch-not sure why the crowd.

The experience was unfortunately very poor. They wouldn't give the individual small table to 2 people who got there first but instead put the small tables together to sit the large group that came in later. And they did it TWICE by adding two large groups in front of us after we've waited for 45 mins. This is very inappropriate given the place doesn't accept reservation. Once we asked (nicely), the manager (who voluntarily told us his is the MANAGER) was very rude to us. He also clearly told us that he doesn't care our concerns and we don't need to stay as there are plenty people waiting - this is after we waited for 45 mins and consumed 4 drinks standing at their bar area!! Given how popular the place is, the owner of the restaurant deserves a much experienced, better mannered and amiable manager. Peter, if he is truly the manager, are too focusing on exercising his seating 'power' and flashing his title (manager), then protecting the brand value of the restaurant. By the way, I had to rating all category '1' as after the unpleasant experience, it was impossible to enjoy the food and appreciate the decor.
