A group of 20 of us went to Carne Vale to celebrate a thirtieth birthday. When we arrived, the reserved table had only been set for 17. We spoke with the manager about the issue and he was rude and condescending. While the food was delicious, the service was slow and I would most likely not return in the future.

Terrible experience . A group of us went to Carne Vale for dinner and got the prix fix menu. First of all, the salad buffet had no authentic brazilian food and there was limited choice. It is an all you can eat churrascaria, but there is no point to get the all you can eat prix fix if the meat never comes to your table. Someone would only come over every 15 minutes.. and 90% of the meat they served was sausages. And then we were looking forward to the dessert, and again no authentic Brazilian desssert... they only had Cheesecake and Tiramisu. To top it all off, the service was terrible. Very slow, not helpful, and we kept having to look for our waiter!!! Overall - horrible experience!! DO NOT GO

There are better places to go to in NY if you want a good lounge scene. This place is run by very ill mannered people who know nothing about customer service. Rather than wait in a long line only to be shouted at the door for this place you are better off somewhere else. There are much nicer places where the wait may be worthwhile. Or else pick a chiller cooler lounge. Good place for dinner though..

I made the mistake of having my birthday here on a saturday. The promoter and owner guaranteed me that my 20 friends would get in free of charge if we insured a certain number of ppl bought and drank at the bar. Not only were NONE of these promises kept, but they also barred my friends from coming in, charged half of them arbitrary cover charges at the door (which i was never informed of) only let in the girls and didn't let in ANY boys even with a good ratio. They told some of my friends that i had moved my party to another spot (in order to clear out the line) and they told one of my guy friends that he couldnt get in because his nose was too long. DONT EVER go here on a weekend unless you plan on wasting your time standing in an hour long line waiting to get into a so so bar with a rude staff . REALLY not worth it. Also.. don't ever work with the promoters Dan and Igor. Young, inexperienced and inefficient crooks who are only there to make a quick buck!

At Carne Vale elegant meets tasty. Customer service is well above New York standards but below Sao Paulo's. I recommend the management staff of Carne Vale visit the best churrascarias of Sao Paulo. It may be illuminating.
