I once attended the dumpling festival in the park up the street. I was so disappointed with the dumpling/price ratio that I promptly left and headed down to dumpling house. Can't beat it! Also take a look at the characters around there, you'll see every age, race and religion in line. Value must be universal. Slideshow is still wrong.

Love it. Stick w/ the chive dumplings if you're in a hurry though, other stuff takes a lot longer, and you see the line right?

You're making great business for the dumpling place on the corner, but that is not dumpling house! there is only one dumpling house- 118A Eldridge. Best dumplings ever!!

NYMAG - YOU'VE GOT WRONG ADDRESS AND SLIDESHOW

The correct address is 118A Eldridge, just down the block on eldridge, but not on the corner as the slideshow above shows. Walked into the place pictured above, thoroughly confused, but ordered anyway - super tasty and equally as cheap (if not cheaper). Haven't actually been to the dumpling house described above because I was so stuffed from teh 20 dumplings I ate at the corner dumpling house.

I swear, it would be possible to feed an army for less than $10 at the Dumpling House. The atmosphere is slightly gross and the extensive oil dousing and frying err on the side of a heart attack... but when those porky, chivy fried morsels emerge their grease bath, they are nothing short of perfect. I have on more than one occasion burned my mouth because I couldn't wait to eat them, so I recommend having your dumplings take-out and eating them in the Chrystie Street boulevard (they reach optimal eating temperature during the walk over). The sesame pancake with beef is also worth a shot.
