Chef has no sense of balance, every dish suffered from one overbearing element. Abhorrent preperation - foie gras appetizer was overcooked, still had the vein in it, and arrived cold. Duck with "cherry-soy reduction" was a salty mess. No cherry to be tasted, just a thick salty sludge that overpowered the duck, which had an obvious line of gristle that no decent chef ever would have let out of their kitchen. Enchiladas were bland and overly peppered. Either the chef has no palate, no sense of balance, or isn't tasting what leaves his kitchen. Not very original, either - obviously trying to ape Wylie D, even saw some of the same "experimental" flavor combinations, but failing miserably in execution. Maybe rubes in Williamsburg are buying into it on account of some Emporer's New Clothes phenomenon. Freindly enough service and interesting concepts didn't make up for the insults on the plate. A joke

Wow....A must stop for the food. A friend and I tried it on our trip to New York. We took the show and dinner, the show I felt I was not quite open minded enough to get, and I did not care for it much but the food and service helped forget how bad the show was. I tried a variety of food and drinks, and loved every one of them. The presentation was awesome, and the taste was above any restaurant I had tried in a long time. The Shrimp and crab cake are both to die for. I can not possibily say enough good about the food. Again, if you are near by and looking for a different scene and taste, I would recommend this.

This is the best meal I have had in a long time - everything was delicious and packed with flavor. Celebrated my friend's birthday here on Tuesday in the front dining room. Our table favorites were the tandoori lamb with goat milk grits and the duck with sweet potato hash and cherry soy redux - both heavenly. We also loved the homemade jerky. The cocktails were excellent, atmosphere is eclectic and service is friendly. Will definitely be back!
