After hearing about Pinkberry from just about everybody on the planet, I decided to see for myself what it was all about. What a joke! I like fresh creamy yogurt, and was hoping for something like that. But this stuff was awful. It was like eating flavored ice -- it was stiff and sour and totally overpriced. The only thing I can say is its a small step above Rice to Riches which is painfully sweet and makes you feel sick afterwards. If you want something good and healthy, grab a sorbet at Ciao Bella

It's great, definitely out of the norm and certainly not what you think of when you hear "frozen yogurt." It's actually yogurt but frozen, as opposed to the fat-free/ low-fat ice cream that is ordinarily associated with the term. I really appreciated the toppings, which range from captain crunch to blueberries; I actually ordered an original yogurt with coconut and almonds. If you're looking for something unconventional yet irresistible you gotta do this. Sugar, shumgar; who's really eating 13 ounces of yogurt by themselves, don't be absurd (unless you love it that much, in which case I'm not judging). The decor is a whole lotta Los Angeles, but think of it as a mini vacation ;-D .

If you're thinking delicious frozen yogurt...like the kind that you are used to...DO NOT GO HERE!!! Pinkberry is yogurt...like the kind you get in the supermarket in a cup...it's kind of sour and tart! No amount of Captain Crunch is going to hide the odd taste. I could've stayed home and pulled a yogurt out of the refrigerator instead of waiting in line for this stuff! Don't be fooled!!!

After eating one green tea swirl at Pink berry i thought that it was excellent but it would not replace my usual coffee craving at 4:00 p.m. every day... well the day after around 4:00 pm all I could think of a was a Pinkberry swirl. I forgot about coffee (I love my late but one in the morning is enough!) what a brilliant idea. Delicious, the fruit options are great and fresh, the yogurt itself is yummy and yes it is healthier and much better for the diet then any other tart in town. It also really satisfy the dessert craving (at least in the summer...)
I saw places like that in Mexico and in Israel, they were small family owned stores which I generally prefer to chains. But since we are in the chains era... I am still welcoming Pinkberry to NYC and Soho with love. Please do not open hundreds of them, we still need variations in the city. New Yorkers are already sick of 4 starbucks a corner...

Candy in a Cup!

Pinkberry or PinkScary, it's Candy in a cup...
One 13-ounce large size has 65 grams of sugar. That's 16 teaspoons of sugar and 300 calories in just the yogurt.
One 8-ounce medium size has 40 grams of sugar, which equals 10 teaspoons of sugar for 200 calories.
The sugary toppings like white chocolate add even more sugar and fat.
Pinkberry has refused to release the ingredients in their yogurt. Why, if it's just yogurt?
Go get an ice cream!

I am a serious foodie yet have never posted a restaurant review - until now. This is the most amazing frozen yogurt I've ever tasted. I just had my first bite 2 hours ago (8 oz medium original with freshly chopped strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) at the Chelsea outpost and somehow foolishly feel compelled to share my experience with those who will be competing with me for line space in the coming summer months. First of all, you do not go here for "decor" or "ambiance" or even service for that matter; you go to Pinkberry for its unique, tasty and surprisingly healthy frozen yogurt (with no yucky after taste). Period. I was so happily consuming this frozen bowl of heaven on my way home that I when a passerby stop me to inquire "where did you get that - I've been dying to try it?", I was so excited to share my newfound love for Pinkberry. My enthusiasm must have worked - she dashed off to become the next addict. And hopefully, after reading this, so will you.

Since discovering Pinkberry, my addiction has spawned fast & furious moves on the parkway, and tested the output of my AC system. Typically, I can park in front of Pinkberry with my hazards on, or the commercial zone if there's no line. There is also a parking garage on 31st with a half-hour rate. I run in and give my order- 4 large and 1 small plain to eat on the drive home, packed with ice packs. For this special packing, I tip the counter girl a couple of bucks. I have a fancy little cooler in my car, which holds my stash with the help of a sweatshirt thrown over the top. Point the AC vents at my yogurt and point my Accord toward the LIE for a 40 mile trip. Why? Real yogurt. I just cannot get enough of this stuff. I don't know what's in it, but if you see a gold Honda Accord flying down the parkway, honk if you love frozen yogurt.
