A beautifully lit and decorated dining room with the most incredible steak tartar flat bread in the city. The mushroom ravioli is not to be missed. We had girls night out and stayed for 3 hours. Since they are centrally located in the LES, The Orchard is also a cool place to meet your friends at the bar to start your night.

My experience at the Orchard was unexceptional and quite average. The food and decor were both typical for the price range. However, one thing that did distinguish this restaurant from others was the sub par and mediocre service. The server projected an air of annoyance throughout the whole evening. Any small request was met with a burdening stare. In New York, there are so many great restaurants, why spend a night (and your money) at a place where they treat you this?

I went to the orchard the other night with a larger party( around 7 people) and had a great experience. To begin, we ordered 3 different flatbreads for the table. All were excellent, but the carpaccio stole the show. Then we all ordered a wide range of dishes from the steak to halibut to sea bass. Everyone raved about their dishes and all were cooked so well and seasoned perfectly. One side that I must mention is the potatoes...they are heaven, though i am sure it took a pound of butter to produce such flavors! The service was very good. To be honest, I dont really remember the service, but we never waited, our water and drinks were always full and whenever we had a request, they were right there. The place itself isnt big, but tastefully decorated and lit. Overall, I had such a great meal and really enjoyed the food. I would definitely go back!
