the mahi mahi was very tender and tasty with the eggplant side dish. the tiramisu was excellent but i was jealous of the choice of dessert made by my coworker of the special three chocolates. i need to go back and try that. the presentation was beautiful.

this is a nice cosmo looking space in midtown. different that italian menu (most fish) trying to be more "gourmet" in preparation and presentation. It comes off. the staff is a little bit trying too hard.

Several friends and I desired a really good Italian dinner. This wonderful restaurant supplied not only a great meal but superb attention and attitude from each and every staff member. I intend to make it a lunch stop for business associates I want to impress.

Acqua Pazza is everything it's advertised to be. The food is fantastic, from appetizer to coffee. Staff is helpful, knowlegable and very courteous. The decor enhances the entire dining experience, light and noise levels are not intrusive, table spacing is right. I've eaten in many of New York's finer restaurants and find THIS one to be one of the tops in the city!

A friend was nice enough to treat me to a birthday celebration here. When we arrived, the coat check person saw my friend giving me flowers for the occasion and was kind enough to echo the wishes. After we were seated, we ordered water to cool down. The server immediately removed our wine glasses without giving us a chance to order wine for our meal, which we did later. I also thought it odd that they brought something from the chef before we ordered. People tend not to order as much if they're not as hungry. For appetizers we had the pear salad and crab cakes. As entrees we had shrimp pasta and veal medallions. The portions were pretty generous and the preparations good. Here's the kicker. When we ordered dessert, the coat check person who overheard us when we arrived must have communicated that it was my birthday b/c the dessert was brought with a candle and a little chocolate wafer that read "Happy Birthday." How very thoughtful! In truth, the rest of the service wasn't that great, but that one touch made a difference for me...for obvious reasons.

Italian seafood dishes fresh and original. Pasta done to perfection with light original toppings, such as the seafood, pancetta, octopus, etc. Service is good but sometimes too doting. Meal is served a bit too fast. Slowing things down would make this a perfect dining experience.

I went to this restaurant recently with my friends and had very bad experience. As many people recommended, the dinner was wonderful. But when I got the bill, I found that my waiter added 20% gratuity without saying a word. In addition, he left Tip colum BLANK and I went near to add additional 20% Tip. Fortunately, I noticed that and I asked him why did he do that. He said because he thought we were tourlists who didn't know the rule. If so, he should mention that in advance. It is clear that he was waiting for additional 20% TIP. Now you know, that's the way they cheat tourlists. Watch out!

Came here with a big group from work and was very disapointed. Service was slow and not accomidating. We ordered our food and it came out all at different times. My tuna was very good, but I asked for it to be cooked more and they did not listen. The food overall is good quality, but the service makes the experience horrible. We ordered dessert and it came out wrong 3 times. When we asked the manager to do something, he said "there was nothing he could do". My dessert came out about 10 minutes after everyone elses. Save your money and skip this place.

Best New Italian in Manhattan

This may be the best moderate priced Italian restaurant in the city. It is unfortunate that this excellent new Italian seafood restaurant is struggling. The outstanding food is as close to authentic Roman seafood as is possible in Manhattan. The room and service exudes modern urban Italy. This secret needs to be revealed soon or this gem will not survive, which would be a tragedy.
