Great experience and excellent southern Italian cuisine. Gnocchi, sauces and meat were outstanding, lamb and special filet mignon above all! I suggest it to everybody, especially for romantic dinner. In Williamsburg there is simply no competition.
Godawful service, uninspiring brunch

We showed up at 11, were one of TWO tables seated, and after ten minutes of being ignored despite several polite attempts to get the servers' attention (more than one server, mind you), we finally had to speak up loudly to get them to even bring us water. After this, we should have just left. But we gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to stay because the brunch menu looked pretty delicious. When we placed our order, the server and even the kitchen were completely ignorant with regards to the menu. I have a gluten allergy and asked which items on the menu I could eat, and was then informed that everything on the menu has gluten, which was definitely wrong, as many of the dishes were simple meat, potatoes, veggies, eggs... Second instance in which we should have just walked out. I then asked the waitress, "could I at least eat a caprese salad?" which ended up being an uninspiring option. Perhaps we went here on an off day and ordered the wrong items, but Acqua Santa failed to deliver on all fronts, and if you needed to get the attention of the waiter/waitress you had to physically flag them down. I would normally be understanding of this, but there were only two tables seated most of the time we were in the restaurant. Two. Two tables. Two waiters. Positives: good focaccia, good mimosa (which... isn't a hard drink to make). Pretty garden. Negatives: MISERABLE service. Mediocre food.
Pre-fix brunch deal nix AND price increase!

The quality of food to price ratio is what kept me coming back for years, despite the sluggish service. The garden and pre-fix brunch deal is what made Acqua Santa the undisputed brunch champions...until recently, that is. The pre-fix deal has been removed, and to add insult to injury the owner simultaneously raised the prices at the same time. It's truly unfortunate that he's decided to put more emphasis on padding his pockets over patron satisfaction.

I LOVE THE FILLET MIGNON - THE BRUSHCETTA IS SUPERB AND THE PEPPERS SOAKING THE OIL ON THE TABLES SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN WILLIAMSBURG AND THIS RESTAURANT IS THE BEST I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN THIS AREA : ) VEEROSE

Very pricey, but also very traditional Italian. The spaghetti bolognese tasted just like I remember in Rome. The filet mignon is melt-in-your mouth delicious. The lamb was a little dry but equally amazing. The ambiance in the garden is very romantic. The wait staff wasn't perfect but they always had a smile on their face.

Seated on a rough cushion under blue lights with a speaker nearby in the bushes, I knew things might get unsavory. But I had no idea that by the end of the night, my party of four would nearly escape second degree burns and stomach-crunching indigestion. First, I was handed a hot plate by the server with no warning or caution, which I dropped and turned over a water glass onto a companion's plate. Her chicken "faggotto" looked good enough to eat until she detected the faint scent of Costco. Across the table, a flaming lasagna was served, split, and choked on: too much fire chars organic matter, but the now marbled noodles could be mistaken for a hiroshima keepsake. Oh, I didn't go well after that was sent back, and the new French Waiter became doubly antagonistic: both for his inherent disdain towards the Italians and anyone who would express shock at their culinary sense. A companion soon noticed that we were suffering the contingencies of the Mexican holiday, and the hispanics who would have normally kept us well fed were nowhere in the Kitchen. The Frenchman accosted us for a low tip.
