Great food, very romantic place

We loved every bit of our anniversary dinner here. The place is sooo romantic and clean. Rose petals on the tables, dimmed light, good service... It was perfect. The food was really good, too. I'm impressed.

Definitely a romantic place for a date. The place has white tablecloth and rose petals on the table. Nice touch. The food we had was great and would definitely go back to try some more.

Small portions, no salad, hot sauce with bread??

Food was worthy of a 10, but there wasn't enough of it. My husband left hungry & I would have liked more so I gave it a 5. The bread was cold, there was no salad & they provided 2 sauces to dip my bread in. Finding out that one was hot sauce was a very unpleasant surpirise. The other sauce was cold and thick. My husband's alfredo was very tasty, but the huge bowl contained very little pasta. My lasagna was good, but also a modest portion. I thought that $30 of lasagna would be a bit more generous. There were 2 chairs, both were pretty, but only one was comfortable. The other had a very deep seat so you couldn't sit back in the chair. The building decor itself was wonderful, but since I couldn't relax in the chair, I gave it a 2. I don't care how pretty the room is when the chair I'm sitting in is so damn uncomfortable. The waiter came back back once after we were served and never returned after that. We asked for the check he disappeared, returned and asked if there was anything else. We asked for the check a second time. Since we spent close to $80 on a meal for 2 that didn't include a drink, I thought getting a second glass of water wasn't too much to ask...but apparently it was. So we left poor, hungry & thirsty.

Best place in NYC to dine

I just had diner on Wednesday with my wife and two other guests from D.C. Service was great and the food was so delicious. Lasagna was so testy and desert to.... Everything was just perfect. If you want to go to some place that you want to enjoy so much I would advise go to Alfredo of Rome.

Best Ever

This wonderful restaurant hits all the notes. This is NOT a Little Italy Southern Italian glop-fest. Fresh, exquisitely prepared food in portions that are appropriate. Warm and friendly atmosphere and great thin-crust traditional Roman pizzas. Do yoursef a favor and ignore the review from the person who hated it. He/she was looking for a very different experience - probabaly more Carmine's style for folks from out of town.

This place is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life!!!!

This place is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food was disgusting and ridiculously over priced. The service was terrible. The food was so expensive and the portions are a joke. My children weren't even full when we left and we paid $160. for a family of 4 to eat. The server was very snotty. we got bread that was cold like it had been in the refrigerator along with cold tomato sauce for dipping. I ordered the Lasagna, I've had frozen chef boyardee lasagne that was better and it was $24. for a 2x2 square of unedible lasagna. My children ordered fettucine alfredo that was $22. It was a huge bowl with nothing in it. They don't even give you a salad or anything with your meal for that price. It was a total rip-off. I am italian and this place was a total disgrace to the italian heritage. I would never step foot in that place again and I will tell everbody I know to never go there. beware! stay away from Alfredo of Rome restaurant.
