The decor/atmosphere is very high class and the service was excellent. The duck, pork and filet mignon were fantastic - not in the least bit dry or overcooked. The salmon was moist as well, but could have been cooked a bit more. The french fries were great - about as good as McDonald's, but with a special sauce. Somewhat pricey, but not overly so.

When I enter the restaurant...I was taken away it was absolutely amazing the scene was so vivid. Not to mention the supreme food, cooked by chef Gerry Hayden. His remarkable dishes from restaurant week in NYC were tastefully done. If you are looking to be amused defiantly go to Amuse.

I should have known something was amiss when the host reseated us twice even though we had a reservation. The decor at Amuse belies the invention (or lack thereof) in the menu selections and their preparation. To start, I ordered the foie gras, which was mediocre, at best. Got the short ribs for dinner, which were good, but I was so turned off by the foie gras I couldn't enjoy them. I guess that makes the foie gras the de-appetizer. Cute place to throw an event where no one will be thinking about the food. Otherwise you'll be sorely disappointed.

This spot is a gem! The flavors, textures and presentation make this my new favorite! The space has one of the best looking antique bars anywhere in a clean modern space. Awesome!

Having decided to check out this restaurant with its unique menu with a friend I was pleasantly surprised. The food was well priced with decent portions although the best part was the exciting blend of tastes available. The dishes were clever and inventive which translated into indulgent tasting of the menu. Although the staff was a tad slow the food was well worth the wait. A great place for drinks and a tasting dinner with a friend or a group.

I don't think bad food and mediocre service are very amusing, but maybe I've been spoiled by the high standard of other NYC restaurants. We tried many dishes, and nothing but the salad was even remotely appetizing.
