The restaurant was o.k. . . but frankly I am getting tired of the same old concept. How many times will we recycle this restaurant? Not bad, but certainly nothing amazing, or new.

I just ate at An American Place on the 5th floor of Lord & Taylor for the first time and I'm already planning my second trip. I had the Atlantic Salmon, which was excellent. Everybody else at my table was extremely impressed with the food and service. If there's one down side to this restaurant, it's that it is a hidden gem. It may be a bit challenging to locate, but once you find it, you'll be very happy that you did.

An incredible food/restaurant experience and in a department to boot. This must be one of the best buys in town.
