We went to Aquagrill for a weekend brunch, party of 4. We took a really good Grilled Rare Yellowfin Tuna sandwich, fresh fish well-cooked, a nice but not surprising Warm Grilled Chicken Salad, a disappointing too dry Aquagrill Big Burger and finally the Traditional Eggs Benedict which was really difficult to eat. The eggs were well cooked but the ham was elastic and absolutely not good (I had to remove it), the potatoes looked like old and totally burned and the overall plate had a strange taste. The waiters who bring or remove plates are really rude, grumpy and not attentive. This restaurant is probably of a nice value for fish but to avoid for a “classic” brunch.

We had great service and enjoyed the oysters and florida stone crab legs immensely. However, our bouillabaisse was sub-par and lacked the saffron promised in the menu. We ordered the red drum fish but after ordering, they said they ran out but could put the barramundi in the same sauce; we agreed. Upon arrival, they had mistakenly served the barramundi in the turbot sauce, not the red drum. The waiter realized and apologized. We decided to forgive because it was already so late in the evening. After declining a dessert, they brought a pumpkin dessert as an apology, but we were too full. We politely declined the dessert but thanked them for their generosity. We expected a little compensation for our efforts and their failed attempt, but nothing was removed from the bill. We left a 20% tip and our comments.
The food was not as good as we expected, and in these economic times, not worth your dime. Good luck if you try it, but your best bet is getting some drinks and oysters at the bar. At least, that's all we'll ever do in the future.

Been going here for a number of years and went again last night after a while. Fabulous meal. Had the striped bass special. The food was great, lots of little extras like the amuse bouche and also the cookies. The part that stood out to me was the service. Unlike what often seems to be the case at many restaurants these days, these folks seem to want and value your continued business. They couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly, and service oriented. It was no surprise that it was packed, but even so they really do what they can to offer alternatives at the bar or at the bar area community table to keep you there. Great to have a good seafood restaurant that consistently kicks out a quality experience.

I went to Aquagrill once before for drinks and oysters, and I decided to go back for dinner. Am I happy I did! We started out with a variety of oysters (Canoe Lagoons from Alaska) were the best. The entrees were simply delicious...I had Fettucine with Shrimp and Pesto, and my girlfriend had one of the specials, which was Wild Striped Bass with Crab Risotto. Everything was so incredibly tasty, and the service was so fantastic, that I plan to go back often.

I recently ate at aquagrill for lunch. loved the assortment of breads served with olive oil. i had the boulabaisse as my entre, shrimp mussels clams and other seafood in a saffron tomato broth...it was divine. the best part was dessert: a peppered pear tatin (goes great with a glass of champagne!). our waitress was very accomadating and made excellent recommendations.

Top notch food and service without snob appeal. Featuring one of the best raw bars in the city with a large variety of oysters. Inventive entrees with enough variety to please anyone.

Aquagrill is not for everybody, there is no lobster tank in the front nor fish and chips on the menu. But if you like fish, come. Order anything on the menu and you would be assured of a good meal. The raw fish platter was impressive. The bouillaise was very tasty and full of lots of inhabitants of the sea. The cod was silky. The desserts are terrific too. Be aware reservations are necessary but worth it.

This is a great restaurant to visit any time of year, but if you go in the summer, make sure you sit outside. With the exquisite food, beautiful atmosphere and attentive service you'll be in for a fantastic treat.

Complimentary apps were good, but all in all not impressed with the seafood. If you're getting oysters then this is the place to be, other wise, stay home and cook some fish. It'll taste better and cost a heck of a lot less. I've heard so much about this place, that maybe my expectations were too high, but I was not happy with my meal. The appitizer of 1 crab cake was too fishy tasting, not high quality meat. The salad with bits of seafood was rubbery and my main dish was smothered in sauce and still very bland. The bill was outrageous, you think my small party of 4 young ladies, was instead a table of linebackers. The atmosphere is what draws you in. With the doors open, the fresh breeze, and a view of the quite street in the village, you forget how much your paying for low grade cooking. Would not recomend, but maybe go back to see if they were having an "off night".

For the oyster lovers amongst us, this place has over 20 selections of fresh pearl cultured friends, whom are either local or jet-setted from various oceans.
The complimentary appetizer, salmon on a potato chip (in plain english), was delicate little teaser for what's to come, fish in cream with herbs and fried food with vegetable decorations. We opted for some Mesclun salads ($6.50), which came slightly over-dressed in a light vinaigrette. Our water of choice was San Pellegrino, but we were given some second rate sparkling water for $7. It was all they had. After an hour wait, after we finished the salad that is, our mermaid beauties arrived--Tuna in Asian Ginger Glaze ($24.50) and weekly special's Escolar from New Zealand ($23.50). The corn cream sauce was a nice touch to the light flaky white fish. The tuna, however, was a bit dry and over-cooked. The deep fried rice was tasty but a bit greasy. The vegetables that came with it--well, they were ok. We skipped dessert in fear of having to wait for them to mill the flour first.
