I <3 ATOMIC WINGS
By countrycityguy on 7/28/2012
I'm a bi-weekly eater of Atomic Wings on 134 Smith St. (btw Bergen and Dean St.) in Brooklyn. It is a time honored tradition that I seldom fail to achieve. Learned about it from a friend last year, and have been going back pretty frequently since. I was a bit skeptical at first, because after three years I had not quite found a place in New York that compared to my favorite wing spot back home. Suffice to say, the wings were top notch, the best I’ve found in NY. We ended up ordering another plate of them. My friend was like, “I told you so.” On some rowdy nights I’ve been known to get a dozen of the teriyaki and a dozen of the bbq. The other stuff on the menu is a nice touch when bringing friends who aren’t necessarily buffalo wing eaters. The salads are great, and the boneless wings are quite good as well, if you like that sort of thing. I’m into it sometimes. The service has always been good, and there is always a hearty portion of blue cheese dip and celery to go along with the meal. All in all, top choice for someone who enjoys good hot wings!
Terrible service, mediocre food at best!

Terrible terrible, terrible service. Ordered several times and each time something wrong in order. Tonight the service hit an all time low in NOTHING! 3 plus hours, no one answers phone, busy or they hang up - no food! Terrible business management with mediocre at best product! Truly the worst! I should have listened to ALL the terrible reviews but thought maybe others just had bad luck or hit it on a bad night. I was wrong they were dead on! They should shut this place!
I love Atomic Wings

I Love Atomic Wings I work on 8th ave in Midtown and I stop into the location on 9th Ave (39th and 40th St) every few weeks for lunch. I have had their Wings (medium and jerk), the atomic chicken sandwich platter, the asian chicken salad and fantastic chili. I have always been impressed with the freshness, quality and great value...The restaurant is simple - yet super clean and the staff is attentive enough. I am a fan...
No need for all of the vitriol...

No these aren't the best wings I've ever had. But they do a decent job on a difficult task, providing reasonable delivery wings. Have you ever tried delivery french fries from a restaurant before? Terrible. Fried food doesn't travel well. The fact that these wings are still somewhat crispy says quite a bit. Just wrote a full review on my blog: http://tvandwings.com/2010/01/17/new-york-city-buffalo-wing-review-atomic-wings-delivery/

twice, now, i've ordered from atomic wings on the basis of a number of awesome user reviews, apparently on other sites. and twice, i've found the food to be inedible. the kind of matter that you bite into, wanting to give it another chance, but after a couple of chews, you can't bear to swallow it. as they say in texas, "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me."
- The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
- If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
- Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
