I beg to differ from all the negative comments AUREOLE received on this site. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Deadly meal! Warning, restaurant goers with food allergies... stay far away from this overpriced place! Just had the theater prix fix for two and took 3 courses home for my husband to eat. The servers on staff are not trained to ask, "Does anyone have any food allergies?" For a fine dining experience and a hefty bill of $235, not worth a revisit! My husband ate the Froi Gras Nougat over toasted brioche. The description of the ingredients were not mentioned anywhere on the menu. Unfortunately, Nougat in French means mixed assortment of nuts. My husband is highly allergic to pine nuts and whatever other possible mystery ingredients were thrown into the Bar Bites/Starter item. He has taken two Benedril, which will hold him over until we arrive at the Hospital. Thanks a lot Charlie Palmer! Your Matre D, acting like a manager, couldn't handle my phone call during the busy dinner rush, so the "real" general manger, John, spoke to me. Thanks John for your concern and follow-up call tomorrow. What can you do for me? Umm, retrain your staff and fix your menu!!! This is a serious problem and I am one dissatisfied customer! You'll hear from me, again! I am outraged!

We visited the restaurant three times. The food was innovative and delicious; especially the soft shell crab sandwich and the mussels. The selection of wines were great and we loved the new location; walking distance from the theater area and Bryant Park.

The best that the city’s restaurants have to offer:
grilled cheese, offal, breakfast taco, soba, and more.
We live in a city full of small cheap-eats miracles,
