Babbo lives up to its reputation. The dishes are interesting, daring, and so very delicious. My only complaint is that I'd love to visit Babbo more often, if only I could afford the large bill. The food is worth the price however, for at least one visit.

Babbo continues to blow me away. The antipasti are flawless and pastas sublime. The only thing I've ever had at Babbo that wasn't amazing was the osso buco, but the pasta tasting menu is always flawless and is one of the best fine dining bargins ($55) in the city. And, I can't forget the mention the all Italian wine list is amazing with some great values.

What an amazing meal! Finally a hyped restaurant lived up to its reputation! A lot of the dishes are "adventurous," but an incredibly tasty and "normal" meal is certainly possible. I had steamers to start and spaghettini w/ 1lb lobster as my entree. Both wonderful! The service was warm and the atmosphere was formal, without being pretentious. My entire party had a great time. Next week I'm trying Lupa--I hope it's just as good.

Mario flawlessly delivers his own interpretation of modern Italian cooking using only the highest quality seasonal ingredients balanced with bold spices and flavor combinations you won't find any place else. Never over the top- but always original. Make sure to order anti pasti, primi and secondi - like they do in Italy! Love letters pasta is a personal favorite.

Babbo is the best all around italian place in the city. From the creative dishes and wines to the old favorites, everything is exquisite. The laid back atmosphere and attentive service only further serve to make dinning here like an evening of heaven on earth.

The food was spectacular.....I was impressed they could deliver high quality food with such an extense menu. The only cons would be that the music is totally disconnected from the restaurant's environment
A classy and interesting menu

I have been here only once for a birthday celebration. Service was great and attentive. The seafood dish were delicious and flavorful. We were all drinking a lot that night but the food still a pleasant and interesting experience. The decor was classy and beautiful! I look forward to going back again!

i have to disagree with the prior comments on the service. i found the host, server and sommelier all very professional and helpful as well as happy to provide suggestions. if you can't get a reservation, trying walking in at 5 and you might snag one of the tables near the bar. it's close quarters but comfortable and we bonded with our neighboring tables. the food was, of course, unforgettable. try the osso bucco for two!
