A great place to have a quick and inexpensive lunch. The pho was decent, but far from the best I've had. The shrimp summer rolls are pretty good. The lunch special is only $10, and that includes a spring or summer roll appetizer, and a bowl of pho or a banh mi sandiwch. A pretty good value for the amount of food you get.

Big fan of Bao Noodles, have been coming here religiously for 4 years. The reason that I am commenting only now is because I brought my family there for a holiday dinner, and they were blown away by how the home-style cooking brought them back to the motherland! All the food, from the strange pig's head salad, to the hearty pho, to the simple lollipop chicken, to the wonderfully presented whole red snapper ... Hit the spot!! The family has already left the city, but they are still calling me just to talk about it! The ambience is great -- fantastic music and very nice servers, the pricing is GREAT, and the food is deliciously authentic. Oh... and they deliver! Can't be beat!!

A group of friends went to Bao 111 on Sunday evening recently, and despite being rather empty due to the Superbowl, our waiter Dan made the night! The food was excellent and very cost conscious for a trendy Viet resto. However, the real show stopper was our server, Dan. I don't think anyone in our group ever had a night like that in recent history! Dan was smart, funny, bordering on mad, and made the evening so much fun that we spent most it laughing that the food was an afterthought. That's not to say the food was good, it's excellent! The kitchen understands balance, taste and portion. We shared several dishes (apps) and not one bad comment came out of anyone. That's a compliment in itself for a group of six people to do nothing but sing its praise. It's worth the trip to the lower east side and I'd recommend you go before they close. I understand that Bao 111 may be shuttering its doors in the next month or so.

My partner and I really enjoy Bao Noodles as a sit-down or delivery option. The delivery price is more that we would like to spend, but the food is worth it. Spicy without over doing it; a tasty treat. I'm a fan of the grapefruit salad, beef stew and Saigon rice, my partner is a fan of the Spring rolls and especially the salt and pepper squid! Try it out!

I love Vietnamese food so of course I had to check out Bao Noodles! My friend and I ordered indigenous beer (they might have cocktails by now, they didn't at the time) but they wouldn't leave the bottles on the table, the glasses didn't hold a whole bottle full. We realised that they were keeping the rest on ice which at first we thought cool until we couldn't get our waiters attention to get the rest. The grilled shrimp summer rolls were good but not wowwee (I am not sure summer rolls can ever be wowwee), I had a spicy stewed beef dish that was way too greasy and my friend had a vegetable rice noodle stir fry that was just so-so, not enough vegetables. I want to like it, I really do...
