Thanks to my childhood friend who just moved to Williamsburg took me to this restaurant. We were blown away with the food.I certainly liked the scallop carpaccio and grilled swordfish with organic tomato salad. The menu is very strong in local fish specials. We really wanted to try fresh calamari salad but they said they sold out already. That 's what i like about this restaurant.Great quality , fresh fish, attentive service, amazing interior.

I would never imagine to eat fresh local fish in New york .My friend told me about this restaurant that he discovered 2 weeks ago.He kept talking about monk fish liver, skate fish and the scalllop carpaccio .So we decided to go there tonight.I had a flounder and grilled fresh calamari with warm chickpea salad. My opinion the best seafood restaurant.
Worst restaurant ever

The food was awful, the service was poor, the glassware was filthy, the owner was rude and the restaurant was understandably empty. On the plus side, the decor was nice and the restroom was semi-clean. Save yourself from a hideous dining experience! This restaurant surely won't be open for much longer, so I wouldn't worry about dining here.

Last Sunday because of the snow we decided to go this neighborhood restaurant. I have tried their seafood stew special and my boyfriend wanted to try the New Zealand lamb chops. We have both enjoyed our dinner so much still talking about it . And thinking why we did not try this restaurant before. My opinion best in the neighborhood restaurant and I intend to go there a lot this winter. And so very happy about my new finding.

Barberry is a destination worth traveling far for. My party did not know where to start. We ended up ordering foie gras w/ fresh quince, mustard crusted seared rare local tuna fish , perfectly spiced wild boar meat balls, filet mignon w/baby vegetables , grilled quail w/chocolate Rioja sauce, baby octopus with caperberries. Entrees are generous and flavorful, and the sensational chocolate souffle is to die for.
One of the best restaurant in Williamsburg

One of the neighborhoods best. The food is amazing, and the specials vary and are great. I like the decor and the service as well.

November 26, 2009 - Likes it - I had no idea this restaurant ever existed. What a find.Just passing through and we decided to get in after seeing their all night happy hour deal. While we were there i wanted to check the menu. And literally my eyes popped out after looking to this menu.Come on..who have foie gras in the menu ?Who have langoustines or baby octopus with this price range. It is like a dream come true.We decided to share frisee sald perfectly seasoned with crunchy walnuts, blue cheese , apples..delightful.After their seafood stew.with langoustines, New Zealand mussels, littleneck clams.I could eat that dish everyday. They also gave me 15% discount card. Now I know where I am going to spent my winter nights.
