I went here last night for my sister's 20th birtday party. Now I cant say it was the best restaurant I've ever eaten at, but the food was quite tasty. I especially liked the Truffle chicken meatballs, the Sirloin, and the side of hominy. The salt and vinegar fries were tasty, but you can only have a few as there is A LOT of a salt. Their signature dish the lobster tacos were probably my least favorite, save the money on that dish and get an extra cocktail or a bottle of wine (which the selection of both are great, i had a cocktail with habanero infused tequila, house made pomegranate grenadine, cilantro, and lime) It's spicy but really tasty. Ambience itself was great. Unfortunately I dont remember the waitresses name, but she was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgable and fun to talk to. If you want a fun night at a trendy celeb spotting location definately go here. Just don't expect Daniel Boulud or Jean-George cusine, that's not what they aim for anyway.
Fun, Packed and Yummy

Be prepared to wait for a table, but once you are sat, you are in for a treat. There are tables both upstairs and downstairs, with bars on both levels as well. The food is scrumptious - lobster tacos, short rib tamales, beef carpaccio and their oysters are big winners. the chicken meatballs sound amazing, but both times I had them they just didnt settle well. They are completely cooked, but their consistency feels a bit raw and definitely is a turn off. Their wine list is really great, cocktails are awesome and the wait staff (although busy) is very attentive. Take a group of friends, guys/girls night out - it is not a romantic spot! its loud, fun, and a total scene once inside the very clever and very NY Pawn Shop entrance. I have brought out of towners both times- they love it!
Most Amazing Food!

The place is absolutely amazing! I've never had a better time with friends on the lower east side. The food is the major draw with atmostphere coming in a close second. The dishes are family style so everyone should have (somewhat) similar tastes. There are plenty of food choices for everyone and each person should order 3-4 dishes to feel satisfied. It's a great place to have a good, lively and exclusive time with friends. Go there if you can get in!
Fun drinks, ok food, rude staff
By Nicholaskk on 2/5/2012
We recently went for dinner. Fun place. Really nice inside except for the necklaces all over the walls. The drinks were very good. The music was too loud. The food was ok. We had the bone marrow. Amazing. The bacon dumplings were kinda bland. The steak was over seasoned. Very salty. The staff was rude and inattentive at times. We probably won't be going back anytime soon.

A certain waitress served us with a certain degree of attitude. So my boyfriend asked to speak to that girl, and several asks later she finally came back to our table. She started slanting us for not wanting to tip (we hadn't even started speaking and tipping wasn't even in our agenda), and said "I'm just going to walk away now" - and so she did. My boyfriend then got up and went to speak to the manager, who refused to give us her name, and complained about what just happened with the red-haired waitress. Her reply was "whatever happened it's done now, so why don't you go back to your table and enjoy dinner with your boyfriend". He came back to the table, and after finding out what had happened, I managed to get her attention again when she walked past, and I tried my luck again to express our dissatisfaction with the previous waitress. She said that I was "raising my voice" - I'm pretty sure that everyone who's been to this place would know about the vibe, it was all Jay Z-blasting there. Hence, I was only trying to make myself heard over the music. She then brought us the bill when we hadn't even asked for it. A bouncer even escorted us out of the restaurant. All in all, this experience was beyond humiliating to me for so many different reasons. I am writing this email merely hours after the unfortunate incident and I can assure you that I'm still scarred. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had in my entire life.
