This place is NOT good
By saras on 9/3/2013
I rarely write reviews but this pizza is DISGUSTING and exceptionally overpriced. First of all, the pizza was totally soggy. The crust was pretty much mush, and it was sagging so badly that you could hardly take the pizza off the pan to put it on your plate and it couldn't hold the toppings up. It was lukewarm, if that. To make matters worse, it's $2.50 per topping... $2.50 for a few pepperonis or a few pieces of pepper or something? I mean seriously? And that's PER TOPPING. If you want pepperoni and mushroom, that'll be $5. It's not like they were piling them on there either. I think I got maybe 2-3 pepperonis per (rather large) slice, if that. The weirdest part of the entire thing? If you get the topping on only half of the pizza, you still get charged the same as if you had it on the full thing, even though it's only half as much topping. In what universe does that make even the most remote bit of sense? If you and a friend split a pizza and want different toppings - say 2 on one half and 2 on the other, plan on spending $10 on toppings alone. Honestly, this is the worst pizza I've had in the city. Not sure where the positive reviews are coming from, but it must be their friends or something... Save your time and your money and go get a $1 slice from one of those places on the corner. It's infinitely better. I won't be back.

Didn't know where to go- but wanted to try some where new... everything was great- the appetizers were fresh and yummy- the pizza, pasta... all so good especially with a bottle of wine. Then took a nice walk down to the river beautiful pier, and view- a great night out overall- definitely going back.
Nice Italian Restaurant
By YasCar on 6/13/2009
After my Italian 101 final, my husband decided to take me out to an Italian Restaurant as a treat. I chose Bella Via and I did not regret it! The friendly owner, from Salerno,Campagna came out to greet us and we spoke a bit of Italian. The Calamari was " delizioso", fresh and crispy. Our wonderful waitress Crystal helped us pick our entrees and the food was tasty and just right! They serve large portions though but you can always take the rest home! Cons: A little background music would not hurt ( Chris Botti, Frank Sinatra, Andrea Bocelli ) I will defenitely go back !!!!!!!!
A New Favorite

I recently started a new job in LIC and have spent a few weeks searching for a lunch spot that I can call my own.....I've found it ! The Margherita pizza is delicious, the service friendly & attentive and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Sal is a great host and I will be back at least twice a week for lunch and friendly converstaions. A great place !

This place is amazing. The pizza is out of this world but that is not all, all of the food is delicious. The steak with Gargonzola sauce is unbelievable, and the spinach gnocchi you will never forget. I have been here numerous times and each time it blows my mind. Well worth it. You will love it. The staff is great.
A Lot More Than Pizza

Stumbled on Bella Via about a year ago and have been a regular ever since. Comfortably elegant with good food and service, varied menu, reasonable prices, convenient on-street parking (plus subway access) and I can always get a table. Take a date, take friends, take business associates, take the family...just don't go too often. Want Bella Via to succeed, but don't want it to get too popular. Note: this place would be packed (and expensive) if it were in Manhattan.
Great restaurant in Queens

We enjoyed our night at Bella Via. We found it in New York magazine. The pizza was great, thin crust brick oven. The grilled calamari was out of this world too. The pastas were also very good. It is worth the trip to LIC.
