My wife and I stumbled upon this place on our walk back from the dog-run a block away and decided to sit outside for some drinks and appetizers. This little tease was all it took to get us hooked on this restaurant. The manager Brian made us feel right at home and the server we had was attentive and friendly. The wine list was great and extremely reasonable and the food was delicious. We came back the next week for a full meal and my expectations were blown away! The Salmon tartare is one of the best I have ever had and the seafood dish I had was cooked to perfection. My wife loves the vegetarian gnocchi. My wife was turning 25 this past weekend and I decided to throw her a surprise party in the back room, which is incredible as well. With the Help of Brian, we were able to thrown an incredible party for her and all of our guests were so complimentary of the food. Seriously, if you have not been here, you are missing out. Super cute, beyond delicious, and definitely affordable. Like I said, "Best in the Slope!"

Our waiter was courteous and helpful. Heard their brunches were just as good, maybe we'll try it next time?

I recently moved to the Park Slope neighborhood and LOVE IT! The neighborhood is truly a NEIGHBORHOOD! I mention this because Belleville was one of many businesses I've encountered where you just want to go back. So thank you Park Slope, thank you Belleville, thank you neighbors!

Add Wonderful Dinner to Wonderful Brunch!

We've always known Belleville to have an amazing brunch, but we recently learned of it's stellar dinners too! The staff is always friendly and not annoying, making us feel at home. I don't know what took us so long to get there for dinner, but we now have a new favorite spot in Brooklyn to go to. We shared the cheese plate to start and must have really loved it because we had it for dessert too. For dinner the ribeye and the fish (I think it was a special?) were the hits. As for the wines, we were recommended a local wine and were pleasantly surprised. I think the wine and the cheeses were what really stood out.

We recently took over the Belleview Lounge ( a few steps away from the main bistro ) for a private party of 25. In retrospect we were rather demanding in adding some square tables, removing some round tables, moving a long tall table closer to the bar for appertizers etc. However Paul and his amazing staff came through 100%. The room has a Fun French Vintage feeling and has 50" flat screen TV hung on the wall which is great for personal videos and slides as well as all the sound equipment one could need. But most off all, every one of our guests were very impressed with the food. Having lived in Park Slope for many years and attending many parties I can state that Belleview has the most fashionable venue and best food and value in all of Park Slope.

My friends and I have been eating at Belleville for years. We used to just come for the atmosphere, because it is THAT authentic. These days, we truly enjoy the food and the people who graciously welcome us into their restaurant. I don't really care how many people reviewed this place before me. The experience I had was definitely worth throwing in my 2 cents.

Our party of six had the $40 tasting menu with $30 wine pairings on NYE. The food was ok, if unimaginative and a bit repetitive (each course except dessert was plated with the same pesto sauce drizzled around the plate). The dessert was a shot glass of Hershey's chocolate sauce, a squirt of reddi-whip and two bites of fried banana. Each course was two bites -- I think the chef took "tasting" portions to the extreme. kitchen service was slow and waitstaff service was unattentive, even though the restaurant was at half capacity. The wine was hit and miss. We went home, opened a bottle of wine and ate leftovers from the fridge.

I had been to Belleville years ago and it really wasn't worth going back for, but I hear there is new management, etc. I had a 5-course tasting menu for $30, which is unheard of! The waitress paired some great local wines with it for us and the restaurant itself is just warm and charming.
