Took an out of town guest to Bette along with some friends after a show. The atmosphere is top notch and very impressive for an NYC restaurant. Very ambient, low lit, and sexy. The service was very good. My entree, however, was awful. The braised short ribs were mushy and unfullfilling, and the horseradish puree was unedible. I did however, get to try the steak as well, which was excellent, as well as the truffle fries. So I will chalk it up to a bad dish and say that the overall experience was very NY chic.

My big beef is that for what u get it is seriously overpriced and the service though polite was seriously distracted. The waiter forgot two of our dishes. We were served coffee in dirt cups. The food was tasty but really quite ordinary. The people seated next to us, had an even worse time ( and were v vocal about it) but i will let them write their own review. In short, there are much better places to eat in Chelsea for less money.
