This is by far one of my favorite UES restaurants, and one of the best Turkish restaurants in the city. The prices are unheard of and the service is great. Everything I've ever ordered is delicious, but the bread they bring to the table is phenomenal! If it's nice outside definitely try dining al fresco - so nice! The decor is really fantastic. The only downfall is that everyone is discovering just how good this place is, so if you don't want to wait go early, or go late! Expect about a 20 minute wait if you go around 7:00pm.

I went with a group of 30 students from Lehigh University, in PA. We expected small servings and were given approximately 10 courses. The food never stopped coming! It was all delicious. The owner was very friendly, starting conversation with us at the table. The waitors ran to us if they thought we needed anything. The experience was wonderful. I can't wait to go back!

Unlike previous reviewers, our party of 5 was well treated, well fed and completely satisfied with our dining experience. If we had a complaint it would have to do with the noise level in the packed dining room. Wait staff was attentive and professional. Food tasted fresh and came in ample quantity for the five of us to share. We would definitely recommend Beyoglu to others!

I'm surprised at all of the awful reviews for Beyoglu below! I mean, it's not perfect, but my husband and I LOVE this place. We've taken friends, returned with parents, and everybody loves it every time. We get the vegetarian platter to split for weeknight takeout and when we go with friends we usually split that, the Beyoglu salad, whatever special appetizer and special meat dish. Love the calamari too. There is always plenty of food and is SO GOOD! And doesn't break the bank. The waiters are good-humored and funny. Sometimes rushed, but it's always packed so I can't blame them. Can't recommend this place more for the price and the food.

Beyoglu has a consistently relaxing and festive atmosphere, and outstanding food. I recommend the fresh fish and the spinach with dill.

Beyoglu is the most dependable spot on the Upper East Side to have a relaxing and wonderful meal.

I ate at Beyoglu last night and loved the food. The service was excellent. I wanted to order the whole fish special but I was concerned about the bones. The waitress offered to bone it herself and she did a wonderful job. The fish was delicious. I am looking forward to coming back.

Beyoglu is one of my favorite restaurants in New York, and one of a very few reasons I ever trek up to the Upper East Side. It is well worth the long haul up to 81st street. The prices are good, and the food is even better. A great place for both large groups, and intimate dinners. I highly reccommend it as a date spot. The fish is always good, especially paired with one of their Turkish white wines (I believe the one I love starts with a K... the waitstaff is always helpful as I stumble to try and find it on the menu). Although you may have to wait if you haven't made a reservation, it is New York, so that should be nothing new... Also, although the tables may get turned around fast once vacated (a plus for anyone waiting for that table) I have never felt rushed to finish my meal, or leave my table. Basically, I highly reccomend this place to anyone.

I went here this past summer and sat outside with my girlfriend. The food was good and the people watching was fun. We split a few dishes to get the overall experience of the place and food. Although I was satisfied with the food, I was not as satisfied with the wait because we were told it was a 20 min wait by the hostess and then waited about 40 min for a table.
