To the point- Bianca is absolutely brilliant. The food has been without exception delicious and is a great value for the price, let alone in New York City (you can get dinner for two for under 40?!?!). The service has always been friendly and as has been mentioned, the system of them letting you know your table is ready while you get a drink at a bar next door works like a charm. I have made this spot my go to destination to take friends from out of town. I have yet to have any of them disappointed. I highly recommend this fine establishment.

Lasagna was fantastic. Atmosphere was festive and the system they have to usher you next door for a drink is fantastic! I love this place.

I really enjoyed this place! The mussels were the best I've had anywhere - tender and big. We were dipping our bread in the broth. Dessert (Panna Cotta) was amazing, so good.
It's a little cramped inside, you will have to go early on a weeknight.
Definitely going back.

Went here for a romantic birthday date - the wait was an hour an a half for a party of two (my only complaint), but the food was well worth the wait!!! The owner was incredibly attentive and talked to us throughout the meal to make sure everything was ok, the restaurant is very cozy and romantic inside. Lasagna was absolutely amazing ... and the rest of the meal was quite tasty as well. Portions are very generous - you will definitely be full and happy after a meal here!!

Our favourite restaurateur in the city is named George. The co-owner of Bianca on Bleecker street, right next to Von, our favorite drinking spot, he is also a friend. Dinner by George is as ubiquitous as a home-cooked meal. Brought over by the man himself to eat at a table or belly-up inside the bar, every dish is amazing.

In my defense of the use of 'sexy' as an adjective to describe restaurants, I give you example A: Bianca. This Bleecker St. gem is far enough east to repel tourists, and just west enough to keep LES hispters at bay. Great food, perfect lighting and a steady following keep Bianca consistently (yet perfectly) crowded.
Though any 'cash only' policy remains a thorn in my side, for a meal at Bianca, I can live with the pain.

They make Lasagna like mom makes!!
We started with the Gnnochi Frio (sp?) and it was a perfect appetizer.
Bianca is in a great location and perfect setting with all of the candlelight for a nice night out with my wife. It was very crowded and loud inside, and we did have trouble understanding our waitress, but the food made up for any problems.

Great value, good food, small, sometimes boisterous, always enjoyable.
Try: shrimp and squid appetizer, gnocchi (very heavy though), ravioli, spaghetti. Pastas are the best bet and value.

Gnocco fritto stole my heart

Bianca is a gold nugget in the increasingly populated stretch of restaurants and shops on Bleecker between Lafayette and Bowery. We started out with the gnocco fritto and stracchino, pillowy fried dough squares served warm so the cheese melts a little bit--loved it. The vegetable lasagna appetizer was smothered in a savory red sauce and impressively steered clear of mushiness (layers of vegetables can easily be cooked to goo, but the zucchini and eggplant kept their form here), though the portion was so large it easily could have been an entree. The tagliatelle bolognese was solid (I like Max's better, but Bianca's version is worth a try), but the lasagna entree was a real winner. For dessert, tried the chocolate mousse cake, which was tasty if not groundbreaking. Service was fine, but nothing to write home about. All in all, great experience and plan to go back soon!
