The BBQ is watery, the sides tasteless and the buscuits are terrible. The drinks weren't good either. Granted I am from Tennessee and spent a good deal of time in Memphis, but I have had passable BBQ in this city. This is NOT it. Very disappointing.

Seriously Terrible Food

Where to start! The barbeque is poorly cooked and tough, with no discernable smoking. Most likely cooked in an oven and blackened on a grill. The sauces are rather unimpressive and pretty much pointless. How about one good sauce, instead of 5 mediocre ones? The eponymous biscuits are neither free nor all that good. The beet salad is made with canned beets. All of this terrible food will then be piled on to a plate that is half the size it should be and will then repeatedly fall off it as you eat/hacksaw your way through the undercooked and tough ribs. The people who run this place are clearly in the wrong business. And seeing how they enjoy posting positive anonymous reviews about it wherever they can, they should have no trouble reading this and getting the clue.

The bbq was not quite the sweet sauce that I like, but overall an okay experience.

Went back to Biscuit and was delighted. Joe the new pitmaster has taken the food to new heights. This is the real deal -- pit BBQ -- right in the slope. Loved the baby back ribs. Hee Haw to the mac and cheese. Creamed spinich is amazing -- a little heat makes it a must have! Leave room for dessert, especially the red velvet cake. Went back for brunch -- a refreshing step up from the campaign buffets of 5th Avenue.

Loved Biscuit when it was a little takeout joint on flatbush, and couldnt be happier they opened in Pk Slope right after we moved here. I'm pretty discriminating on bbq, and Biscuit is somewhere b/w very good and excellent. Brilliant mac cheese. Dont know why people are complaining about service - always been totally finally, and when i brought a difficult group of a dozen people there a couple weeks ago, they could not have been more sweet with us.

THE WAITRESS TOLD US THAT THE MASHED POTATOES WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND WAITED RATHER IMPATIENTLY AS WE TRIED TO DECIDE ON ANOTHER SIDE. WHEN WE RECEIVED THE FOOD RATHER QUICKLY IT TASTED POORLY. THE BISQUIT WAS COLD AND HARD. WE LOVE MACARONI AND CHEESE BUT DIDN'T LIKE THIS ONE, THE CANDIED YAMS WERE LIKE OUT OF A CAN...NEITHER WERE FRESH, PERHAPS LEFTOVER FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE. WE HATED THE SIDES SO SENT THEM BACK AND SETTLED FOR A CHEESE BURGER AND FRIES. THE CHEEESE BURGER HAD TO BE SENT BACK BECAUSE THE CHEESE WAS MISSING. WE NEEDED LITTLE THINGS THROUGH OUT THE MEAL THAT WE ATTEMPTED TO TELL OUR WAITRESS WHO WAS YOUNG AND NOT REALLY INTERESTED IN BEING A GOOD SERVER. EXTRA NAPKINS, ICE IN THE ICE TEA, SUGAR FOR THE SWEETENED TEA WE WERE PROMISED AND CONDIMENTS THAT WERE MISSING FROM OUR TABLE. WE EVEN TOLD THE WAITRESS WE WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND SHE STATED THAT SHE WAS BUSY. NEVER AGAIN !

A southern barbecue fan, I was excited to try out the new barbecue joint. The pulled pork and barbecue sauce are excellent. The choice of sides are great and tasty. However, if they are going to name themselves "Biscuit" then they should monitor the quality of the biscuits that are offered. The first time I had one of their stale biscuits was through a delivery order. I decided to give it another try at the restaurant. Again not really fresh, but a little bit better than the first one. If you are going to charge extra ($1.35) for a biscuit and say it is your speciality then you should present a good product. I've had better biscuits at KFC. Another bread problem is the bun offered with sandwhiches. They are the cheapest "wonderbread" buns available. The brisket served was also a little dry. Overall I was a little disappointed, but loved the taste of their barbecue which was better than some other places that try to call themselves barbecue joints. The next time I'm craving a pulled pork sandwhich I will order it to go without a bun and add my own. And please avoid the biscuits.

Not the most exhuastive menu, but that may be a good thing. They can put all their concentration on making your delicious meal. The cheerful, retro-covered interior makes you want to stay; but if you're taking out, call ahead to avoid a wait.

the barbecue sauce was tasty, but the chicken was very dry. i ordered a whole bbq chicken and only received one breast, now that's one sad chicken. side portions are extremely small.
the fried catfish were the size of two small sardines and were greasy as well. i would not recommend it to anyone.
