With a view of the distant Empire St. Building up the block, and a playful park across the street, sitting outside here and meeting up with friends after work is a fine time. The house wine was pretty good, and the food was ok. The bread wasn't for me but the vibe was, an interesting intersection to admire, with a ton of diversity. Would I go back, yes.. probably for breakfast next time though.

When we are in or near Soho, this our first choice for a classic meal. Great eggs benedict, great omelets, beautiful salads. The service is never fawning and yet always attentive. The decor and ambiance makes you feel comfortable and like you are in Paris. Portions are good, coffee is as well. Never had the steak frites but it looks great too. For a food genre that is all over the city, Les Amis gets it right consistantly.

We have been going to this restaurant for years. Yes not for the worn out decor(but I must say it reminds me of Paris), but for the consistant exceptional food. Over the years we have tried almost everything on their menu. The delicious crabcake, to the best foie gras in Manhattan to my personal favorite the warm goat cheese salad. And this is just the beginning...The winter cassoulet is exquisite, to the tasty mussels and the lamb shank puts Baltazar to shame!! The waitstaff has always been welcoming, caring and personal. This is NOT what I would call a tourist trap as through the years I have come to recognize the other patrons. I wish we could encounter this hopitality more in NYC restaurants.
