I went in looking for a good burger with no frills. I'm all about the food, so although the decor was simple, yet elegant, I was totally let down by the food. The beer selection was good, cocktails "eh", but milkshakes were a MUST have (spiked or virgin). The table ordered appetizers to share and a burger a piece. The appetizers: the side salad was lacking (and cost an outrageous $12) but the fried pickles were great, unfortunately we had to wait a half hour for them after ordering in an empty restaurant. And 30 seconds after the appetizers arrived, the burgers: recommended to be cooked medium, but definitely order them medium-rare--between the lamb, the tex-mex, and the BLT, the toppings were the most interesting parts. Overall... :(

Food is average for a burger joint, service is variable and indifferent, and they charge $4 for a soda (which the waitor apologizes for but doesn't do anything to correct). The ugly taxidermy steer in the back is looking rather sad too--is the eye infected? Won't go back.

I got the American Kobe (and no, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as Japanese Kobe) for $16.00, cooked medium and it was slightly underwhelming after all the hype that surrounds this place. I figured that a burger joint could cook a burger to medium without charring the outside excessively, but I was wrong. It wasn't burned, but at the same time certain bites tasted worse than others. The fries were overwhelmingly mediocre (the slim fries tasted like a poorly seasoned curly fry) but the beer selection was fair. But honestly... $4.00 for PBR? Get real New York. I might try the place again, but this time be more precise with my ordering, and not getting fries.

We are tracking the best burgers in New York. This burger is as competitive as any, great flavor. The meat, bun and everything else was well matched. Waitress was very nice and there for us when needed. It was a casual lunch crowd. No cramped quarters of the Burger Joint, no borderline dive of the Corner Bistro. This was a good size burger, It's thick, not wide, well cooked on a tender moist, toasted bun. MMMMM! It was a good dining experience.

BLT serves great, though too small, burgers that are a little overpriced. The fake diner decor isn't too bothersome, but overall, this place would be much better if the burgers were a little bigger, and the prices a little lower.

I went there last night and had the BLT burger, it was great, it was fairly tender and very juicy while also having a good amount of flavor. The place is fairly small and the music was ear drum busting loud, there also seems to only be 2 or 3 waiters for the entire restaurant. This took away from the meal as one has to wait what seems like forever to get any service. In the end, the burgers are quite good but the service is horrible. If the place got a few more waiters it would be great.
