The highlight of our night was a drunken guy named Brian. The village full of Blue ribbon in Brooklyn. Apparently this guy is a usual at the bar. He set next to us and started talking to my wife. We were friendly until he became rude and obnoxious. (Asking my wife what was she doing with an "ugly guy" referring to me). We tried to be polite and Adam tried to get rid of this guy and was apologizing repeatedly. When he failed to get rid of this drunken fool he sent us OUR CHECK as if he wanted us out. The manager that was at the end of the bar babbling with some waiters did nothing. We decided to take off leaving the free desert that was sent to us at the bar. Don't go there! The food is less than average and the bar is a neighborhood spot for older, aggressive drunk locals.

My father took me here for my bday. Really really excellent. The waiter had a mustache which is awesome. Ordered the catfish and the trout. Both were superb and topped it with a strawberry sundae. Quick service and delicious food. Highly recommended.

... you pay a lot of money to get nourishing food that's full of love. No matter what your late-night craving -- fries, low-carb, vegetarian (not vegan), burgertarian, liquid courage -- Blue Ribbon Brooklyn will serve it up with a smile and mark it down on your tab. I don't go there much, but I'm happy just knowing it's there for me. A great place to take a well-off friend who needs cheering up.

Tasty home-style meals without the gingham tablecloth. Great value for the money, never been disappointed by any menu selection. The crawdads are a particular favorite (get 'em by the bowl) and the escargot bourgignon appetizer is a meal in itself. Lobster is also a real treat. And it's open late! One of my favorites.

I've sat at the bar and had clams and soup and I've sat in the dining room and had steak and lobster. I think I've also had just about everything in between at both the bar and dining room. I just like this place. The bartenders always know me by name. The waitstaff is informed but not theatrical. Everything they do here, they do pretty well. You can spend a ton of money here, if you choose, or you can get away with an inexpensive bite. Plus, it's open late and in Brooklyn, that's a huge plus.

A great place at any time of the day. Always seems lively, even with only a few people in it. Food is truly tasty. And I like how the decor is a mixture of formal white tablecloths and casual/industrial exposed pipes and funky lighting.

One of of my favorites in Brooklyn, this is great pick for showing off to your parents or out-of-town guests without spending a ton of money. You can do burgers and beer for under $15pp, or paella & wine for $55pp. The atmosphere is nice, but casual.
