My job went to BWG for our Christmas Luncheon. We were a party of 15 and were seated in the jazz room. It was a fabulous experience. The food was amazing and the service was great. It's the perfect spot for a date. Especially on Valentine's Day.

My first visit to Blue Water Grille was last summer with a late night date. Our table was front and center downstairs with the jazz ensemble right at our fingertips. Romantic with candles lit....the ambience magical and the soft shell crab to die for..... a memorable experience. I went back this weekend and experienced the Grille from a different location.... the bar in the jazz room. My date and I decided on a whim to hit the Grille before heading off to see FuerzaBrutta. The service from Carl the bartender was fabulous, with his wine choice being one of our favorites of all time. Another great experience at a classic and sophisticated location with a sexy flair... A great time for all.....

I'm new to the area and have started exploring different restaurants, found this restaurant to go beyond my expectation in every area, service was wonderful, the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, the food was the right serving size, very good and not overstated. Will most certainly put this on my list to return. The building cannot help but to get your attention.

I go there once a month and am always satisfied with the service and food. There Sunday brunch is very good in addition to there wonderful seafood dishes. I've even had good sushi there. This restaurant has four places to sit and the experience is different everytime (downstairs - jazz, outside, upstairs loft, regular floor seating). I always tell people to go to this restaurant when in New York. BWG is much better than its sister restaurants Atlantic Grill and Ocean Grill.

After reading dozens of reviews, I made a reservation at BWG when my parents and some friends were in town. Despite being warned of a longer wait, we waited only about 5min for our table. Our server was cute and attentive - but not overly so. Our drinks were superb and the food was delicious! I was nervous about the evening, since I planned it, but everything was fabulous and I will definitely be returning. My mother said it was the best meal she'd had in years - anywhere!

Had brunch with family several times at BWG. Atmosphere is nice, fancy but not intimidating. Staff were attentive and kind. First time we sat on the upper level, nice view of restaurant but a little cramped. French toast was excellent. Free mimosas. Would come back for brunch.

we had our dinner in the basement, and enjoyed the high class classic jazz nostalgia. the waiters were very nice and helpful, which is for me of essential interest when I eat out. food was good, the crab cake was superb, the halibut was okay but could have been softer and less salty. doesn't matter, this is a place to come back and take your friends to. i love this mixture of simultaneous informality and politeness that the waiters have. we don't know that in Amsterdam.

I went to Blue Water Grill last night, for my husband's birthday. We had a table in the jazz room. Excellent atmosphere, a little crowded and noisy for my taste, but acceptable considering what it was coming. Their food is AMAZING! Their Chilean sea bass is perfectly prepared. This fabulous tasting white fish is served on a bed of greens drizzled with soy sauce and accompanied by a pyramid of sticky, flavored white rice which gives this delicate and flaky, buttery and mild fish an Asian twist. The crab cake is melting in your mouth. In my opinion, it is the best I have had in NYC. The freshly made potato chips are adding a crisp note to the softness of the extremely fresh crab meat. The calamari is served on a bed of cilantro leaves and grated carrots, drizzled with a perfectly matching sauce. The music is fine and completes the atmosphere. In the end, the complimentary champagne drinks were supposed to make up for the little unexpected behavior of our server and for the uncomfortable table setting we were assigned for the evening.

I took my best friend there for his birthday last night. We had a fantastic experience. The hostess was warm and inviting and seated us within ten minutes of our arrival. Our waitress was so sweet and seemed as though she genuinly cared about us having a great dinner. She was attentive and was constantly smiling and checking on us. He ordered the lobster bisque (best i have ever had) and i had the crab cake. The crab cake was fantastic although i wish they gave me two instead of one, so I could have shared! Our entrees were good, but nothing special (filet mignon, and sea bass). All in all its a great place for a romantic date, dinner with parent, or friends.

Have been going to Blue Water for the last 7 years and it never disappoints. The food and service are really the best the city has to offer and if you are there for a special occasion they go above and beyond to make the night so very memorable. A great value and experience you will never forget.
