Can not rate the service - we ordered from our hotel for delivery. I wish we were in the restaurant because we would have sent it back . . . we ended up having to throw everything out but the soup. DO NOT order the RICE ROLES!!!!

We stumbled across Boi as we walked the streets looking for lunch, and we were incredibly impressed. We eat a lot of Vietnamese food, and this was among the best we've ever tasted. It was creative and tasty, even given the high prices. We recommend the Buddhist sweet and sour soup, especially on a cold winter day, and the cha gio appetizer, which is a roll filled with crab and other tasty ingredients.

With a Vietnamese heritage, I'm in constant search of authentic food that is presented well and Boi is right on the money. The food was very flavorful and reminiscent of my childhood, yet updated well and not beyond recognition. The dishes were artfully presented, and the overall environment was very nice. Boi proves that you can have authentic food in a modern environment. The service was impeccable, our server was very knowledgeable and polite. Authentic asian eateries often have the reputation of bad service, and this was not the case at Boi. The price points were average for a restaurant of this caliber, but definitely higher than your dive noodle shops. Worth the money if you're looking for a nice environment with great food.

My friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at Boi this past weekend. The food is so delicious from the rolls to entrees to Bill Yosses desserts; the dishes and the taste brought us back to the time when we spent our summer in Vietnam in 2002. No wonder both New York Times and New York Magazine gave it top ratings. We ate all the food we ordered and loving it. I personally love the bun rieu soup; this is one of the best noodle soups I've ever had. We had cha gio, tom cuon with a very yummy peanut dipping sauce (reminded me of the time I ate at Saigon market), and we had goi ga, Saigon crepe, bun thit nuong and a couple other side dishes. The service is very attentive and polite. The decor is rather simple and plain but very attractive and elegant. The only negative is the dinning room is rather narrow and it can get a little cramped at busy time. Nonetheless, we left Boi with a stomach full of food, wine and satisfaction. We couldn't have any better dining experience than this. Oh boi, we'll be back.
