I've been to them all - Rose Bar, The Jane, the Gates (ugh). Bond street serves the best food with the coolest atmosphere. But there's nothing pretentious about it. The waitresses and bartenders are cute but also very warm and gracious. You will not have a better time in the city than here.

They have the best sushi and even cooked food in NY. Lobster tempura, miso cod, kobe beef all the best in the city. The drinks, especially the Litchee martini are also the best. Great scene with a lot of hip and beautiful people. I go out a lot and it's my fav place in the city

I wasn't that impressed with the omakase menu; the food seemed like it was trying to be too clever at the expense of basic quality. Appetizers and entrees were so so, but specifically, the sushi was not much better than a lunch special; textured like it had been cut much earlier and held on ice, a little too cold on delivery. If you love sushi, there are far better places to eat. Service was great, decor was great, but the food let it down. Reputation undeserved.

Nice place, great music, good food (try spicy prawns, too good!!!)... lot's of fun!!! don't go if you expect a quiet dinner, go if you want to be in the shi-shi Soho kind of crowd.

One could hardly guess that the narrow steps and small door could lead into a space like Bond St. Try to make reservations beforehand, but if you come here without one, there's a good chance youll still be seated at the sushi bar in the back. The entire restaurant cleaved into a melange of distinct spaces - bar up front, regular dining space downstairs, more tables on 2nd fl, lounge in the basement, and the sushi bar in the back. If you&;re looking for something quieter, err to the upstairs, but I am a bigger fan of the bustling atmosphere downstairs. The food is, overall, very satistfying - I did not get the tasting menu, but every course I ordered was very solid. Scallop appetizers were perfectly prepared and seasoned. The roll I liked best was sesame crusted shrimp tempura, although the seared salmon sashimi ultimately won out. They have an extensive drinks menu, including some saketinis and wasabi bloody maries that will give you a nice buzz. Oh, and to top it off, edamame is complementary...."

for those of you who wrote that this place is pretencious and overpriced and that you will find better for this amount of money - GOOD LUCK!! place is awesome. you gotta be a true New Yorker to understand this place. yes, staff is "pretty" - i see nothing wrong with it - my eyes are resting when i look at them instead of looking at other ones that have no clue about the service or anything else for that matter. food is absoultely delicious and worth every penny. i went to the place three times - and i will come back. and i recommend it to everyone!

LOVE this place! I used to have a client who always raved about this restaurant (and he has one of the pickiest palates I've ever encountered) so my expectations for this place were already sky-high. They were met and exceeded, handily. For an appetizer, I had the seared tuna and foie gras and a spicy yellowtail roll as my entree. That left me just enough room to have the chocolate cake for dessert. I wasn't a fan of the mixed drinks, but that's a minor concession for the great evening of sushi and camaraderie we enjoyed. I would recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE.

The portions at this hot spot as as tiny as the mini skirts that will no doubt be the uniform among the clientele here this spring ... This place used to offer excellent sushi at a good value, it now attracts the beautiful people more interested in people watching than in the food and disinterested model waiters. Come to think of it, the minature portions are probably just what they requested to fit into their size O jeans. If you want a fun night out among NY's elites, this is the right spot. For sushi, go somewhere else.

Longe is very relaxing, fun to go with a group, take saki bombs, and sit back and drink sakatini's. Sushi is exquisite..Food is exceptional.
