While the food tasted good and the service was okay, the prices would suggest 3 times the amount of fish that was actually served. We were insulted when our plates arrived with how little fish was on there. We eat all over Park Slope and will never revisit Brooklyn Fish Camp.

I don't know about some of the other reviewers, but I've been here multiple times and have never had a bad meal or experience. The staff has always been super helpful and sweet and the food is always top notch. From the lobster roll to the oysters to the salt baked shrimp, always, always extremely tasty. Not cheap, no, but worth the price for sure.

I've been twice for lunch on the weekend now and both times had pretty darn good food. Clam roll is tasty with almost an overabundance of large bellied clams (you have to really like clams when they're this big, which I do) and a uniquely tasty remoulade. The spicy sardine sandwich is awesome, basically a large split and fried sardine with bahn mi styled accompaniment on fire grilled baguette. The only thing to disappoint were the hush puppies which were pretty soggy on the inside. Service is a little slow, but certainly not disagreeable.

The Brooklyn Fish Camp told us they did not take reservations, but if we came between 7.30 and 8 we could get a table for 8 people. When we arrived at 7.30pm we were told the wait would be about an hour. It was 2 hours, and by 9.45, as patrons left, chairs were stacked around us and the kitchen staff began noisily packing up. The music on the stereo was turned up. The waiter refused to turn it down or off. There were no apologies or excuses or amends for the long wait and poor treatment on site or by the owners, who we of course wrote to complain to. It seems rather odd that they have a policy for the compulsory addition of a gratuity for parties of more than 6 persons, and yet will not take reservations for groups of that or any size. Food fine, service so-so. Management and customer service - dreadful.

We have been eating at Brooklyn Fish camp a couple of years and have noticed that the quality has gone way down and prices way up. We ordered cockles and steamers for appetizers and crab cakes (listed as lump crab meat) and Thai style sea bass. The crab cakes were about 75% bread filling with very little crab meat and they were extremely spicy with much too much cayenne. The sea bass, which has in the past usually a good sized fish was very small. No one came by and asked us about our dinner and frankly we left a bit hungry after spending an astounding $23 for the crab cakes and $25 for the sea bass. I have eaten crab cakes at many restaurants and these were really over priced given their quality. I doubt we will ever return

My wife and I had dinner at Brooklyn fish camp this evening and do not intend to return. The food was decent, though not exceptional for the area or price. Unfortunately the most memorable thing was the service. At the end of our meal, before our waitress had even returned with our check another waitress approached and asked us to leave, saying "I have like an hour wait for these tables...do you think...." and then stormed off before even finishing her question. Let me repeat - our waitress had not even brought us our check and they were already asking us to leave! Incredulous, we checked how long we had been in the restaurant - a whopping 54 minutes from arrival to being asked to leave for taking up one of their precious tables. The food was decent, but certainly not worth having a nice evening ruined by a waitress trying to increase her tips for the evening. We suggest you pass on the camp.

This place is absolutely horrible and overpriced. We had steamers to start which were terribly overcooked. I had grilled lobster which was the worst lobster I have ever had. How can you mess up lobster! It was ridiculously seasoned and again, overcooked. Like cardboard. Arctic char was also overcooked, practically white in color. and the kicker was dessert. I wanted to leave, but we got a hot fudge sundae, which had the cheapest tasting vanilla ice cream I've ever had. $10!!!! $34 for the lobster!!!!! The worst restaurant I've been to in years, a complete waste of time, money, and taste buds. Stay away! I feel bad for the very kind jazz singing waitress.
