Comfort Food Heaven

For whatever you're looking for, the huge portions of delicious homestyle cooking can satisfy your comfort food cravings, like the better-than-Mom's meatloaf or heaping pulled-chicken sandwich that you need a fork and knife to eat. A little on the pricey side for "diner" atmosphere, but the creamy, cheesy polenta and thick milkshakes will convince you that shelling out a few more bucks is worth it. Good luck on saving room for dessert!

Good Diner Food - High Prices

This is a good diner. The portions are large and tasty. You sit close to you fellow dinners, but the mood is friendly and everyone seems to have a good time. That is until the bill arrives. Whoa!!!!! Bring you AMEX cards.

Just like the good ol'days!(But,these are the good all days??!)Shelly Fireman who also owns "Redeye Grill'Shelly's New York, "Trattoria Del Arte and more strikes a home run with this "Authentique"diner. Try the Hamburger's(I love 'em) the Chicken Pot Pie,the Egg Creams..heck, try everything.Its a good diner.And its open 24 hours.... IN A ROW!!!.

Can't make up its' mind if it's a diner or a deli, but the food is good and filling. Large portions of everything on the menu. Don't miss the 15 bite hot dog, juicy on the inside and crisp on the outside. A great sharing dish. Always a crowd, but never a wait more than 5 minutes. The staff seems to be "wanna be actors" but that's a good thing. Have fun and enjoy the food.

...That's what every morsel of food screams at this upbeat and casual eating place that tells New York sophistication. Food is down right delicious, and amazingly the kind of food everyone wants to eat. Forget that fussion stuff and that creative art-like pile of goo nowadays being passed off as gourmet, this is a pleasant suprise. Weekend brunches are simply over the top with Eggs benedict and crab cakes for example. But remember, the check will not be cheap, and the service is spotty at best.

This is a great breakfast spot. It's warm and friendly - you just don't want to leave. The breakfast menu is great and I can particularly recommend the cinnamon toast.

This diner is a must every time I come to New York. The food is awesome and more than anyone could possibly eat at one sitting.

we've been to new york city numerous times, but did not visit the brooklyn diner until our most recent trip this year. we wish we would've know of this awesome restaurant for all of our previous visits. we're planning a trip to the city in october, and this will be our first stop. the chicken pot pie is to die for, and the mac and cheese is unbelievable. my husband had the cheeseburger and could not say enough about how great it was. i highly recommend this restaurant.

A Quick Bite Full of History

Perfect if you're on a budget after investing in tickets at Carnegie Hall. It's a nice little place full of history. It's fun to look up what celebrities sat in your seat! Plenty of vegetarian options. I got a strawberry milkshake which was suprisingly fresh, natural, and delicious! Above your typical diner food.
