Having been to NYC many times, Bubbys is always at top of my list of places to eat. The breakfast in my opinion is the best in NY. If only London had something even close. The service is always great & the food is off the scale. Thanks again Bubbys for always coming up trumps & serving the best breakfast in the world.

Bubby's is calorie-city. Even the green beans arrive dripping in butter. I find the food hit or miss: crummy chocolate cake, great key lime pie...great hush puppies, solid mac and cheese, crummy chicken soup. But prices are cheap, and they have the best biscuits in town. Worth visiting when you are in the mood for some comfort food, or especially if you are entertaining kids. Their delivery service is very prompt and perfect for a rainy day.

Gues they have new owners or something? Service here recently took a downturn (having tattoos DOESN'T mean you have to be rude, lady!). My burrito was cold, so I sent it back. 20 minutes later it came back COLD!! We loved this place when we first moved here. And honestly, if we live one block from a place, when we order delivery, we DON'T expect it to take an hour to arrive, then arrive COLD!!

I ordered the artichoke soup tonight. The full extent of the waitress’s description of it was that it was "artichokey". Sounded good enough to me. The soup was actually quite good with interesting bitty things in it. I asked the waitress what those foreign bitty things were. She went to inquire and returned identifying the bits as "potato". Almost to the bottom of the bowl, it became clear that these bits were rather meaty in consistency, actually bacon bits to be specific. I questioned the manager as to how a vegetable soup could contain meat with his waitress not knowing this and no description on the menu? He argued that I should have specifically asked if there was meat in the soup. Ridiculous! Only after specifically requesting did he begrudgingly remove the soup from our bill. Unless you are prepared to recite every food to which you have an allergy, aversion or religious preclusion, do not go to Bubby’s.

I've been staying in TriBeCa for a 5 days vacation and went... well, 4 times to Bubby's (3 for breakfast, 1 for lunch). You can wonder how much I liked it... The place was said to cook the best burgers in NY : I have to admit they are the best I ate in 10 days in the city... You really get what you pay for ! Add a very creamy key-lime pie to this, you don't get the lightest menu ever, but a very tasty one, for sure ! But the best part is breakfast : I swear I have never tasted better pancakes in my life (maybe because I'm French and don't eat some very often, but they seemed like heaven... although heavy heaven if you eat a lot of them !). The French bread is great too, with the strawberries and bananas. I loved the decor, which really felt like "home" (not my home, but what I think a typical home from the south of the States looks like). Very friendly service, too. I would definitely go back there next time I come to NY !

Have been there several times for lunch & have never been to a place so consistently slow. Food is nice, staff friendly but too busy to be attentive and food takes forever.....

All I can say is, if you're ever in TriBeCa, you HAVE to eat Brunch at Bubby's! Friendly service and great food! The home fries are just how grandma use to make them. And you MUST order the challah bread french toast.....HEAVEN!

If a down home meal is what you're after look no further. Bubby's serves up brunch the way Mama would have if she'd come from south of the Mason-Dixon line! The biscuits are sinfully delicious, the food falls right in line. Everyone feels at home and you're never left wanting more. The staff is delightful and knows the menu and the specials well. I recommend it highly for brunch or lunch -- they take reservations for big parties, so make them! I've never had dinner there, but I'm sure it's delicious! And while it's defintely kid-friendly, you never see or hear them, which is minor miracle unto itself!
