UK/US ALLIANCE SEALED WITH A BURGER!
By Dunmarris on 4/23/2003
A spontaneous desire to get back to NY after a 20 year absence led to six days tourism - capped in my memory by this incongruous gem...gloriously downbeat decor belies the true heart of this burger joint - simple pure burgers and all the trimmings - to die for! Served in that inimitable friendly (but far from overfamiliar) and offhand Big Apple way. It must be good - three times in six days - Look out 'The Ivy' London - you have a rival.
A real burger

Just the best burger in town. Fast food as it supposed to be. Cheap, fresh, fast and DELICIOUSSSSS. The only place to go for burgers

This place is solid. From the shakes, to the fries, to the burgers, you can't go wrong.
Best burger in town
By Charnis on 4/17/2003
I'm a connaisseur on burgers and those burgers are graet. My wife likes the burgers well done, and even well done they are jucy. When you enter this small dining room, you forget that you are in New York. I have to say, evrything that you may look at in this room as been created with a lot of taste and imagination. My favorite place for a quick lunch.

It's great food, with a twist. You can't believe it's hidden away from the rest of the hotel. It's the best kept secret at Le Parker Meridien.

It's a great deal for a decent burger, but only for the neighborhood. There are better burgers all over town.
More than a mouthful is just too much!
By MissyEatsalot on 4/8/2003
Burger joint has burgers that are not too big and not too small, just the right size! My father would say more than a mouthful is just too much, but he wasn't talking about burgers!!

You have to see it to believe it. My friend was taking me to lunch for my birthday. We meet at this really nice hotel (the Parker Meridien), so I am all excited that we are going for a Big Bucks Birthday lunch! Well, he walks me through this great lobby (so I am looking for the fancy place) and we walk right into this 'dive' (that is the best word I can think of). I am in shock! The place is a corner bar sort of - with Burgers and Fries and Soda and Brownies (and a beer too). Not 50 different burgers - just one! With or without cheese - your choice! That is it! But it was the BEST burger I have had since I came to NY. Cooked perfect - great fries. He spent a whopping $10 on my Birthday lunch (and that was with the Brownie!!) The real gift is now I know where to go for a Great Burger anytime!!
