On a recent trip to NYC, I accidentally stumbled into another world at Le Parker Meridien Hotel. No, it was not the Twilight Zone, it was the BURGER JOINT. Located in a secretive corner of Le Parker Meridien's main Lobby, the BURGER JOINT is hidden away from the rush of business in this upscale Hotel. At first, the BURGER JOINT shocked me with its collegiate/dormatory styled surroundings. It was an amusing contrast compared to the environment of this trendy Hotel. But things started to get serious after I ordered a burger and fries. When I had finished my meal, I realized that I was hopelessly spolied forever; unable to toletate any other buger except from the BURGER JOINT. My friends think it's a joke now but I really don't enjoy burgers from anywhere else ever since I've had pefection at the BURGER JOINT. There is no comparison anywhere to be found at any price. I have returned to the BURGER JOINT numerous times from a great distance and it's been worth it every time. And the price can't be beat, especially for NYC. The BURGER JOINT is truely awesome!

Burger Joint rocks! Where else can you find a restaurant with three items on its menu (hamburger, cheeseburger, fries) that has lines out the door! The flame-broiled juicy delicious burgers would make that big chain purveyor of flame-broiled burgers weep with envy! The fries are not as good as the Golden Arches, but the burgers more than make up for this slight weakness. They also have delicious brownies for dessert, Sam Adams on tap, and after 3PM you can get milkshakes! And they play good music...is this heaven or what??

You would never know by a first glance but in the lobby tucked away in the corner is a wondernful surprise. Once inside you can enjoy a hamburger or cheesburger w/ all the fixings starting at 4.50 including tax!!. Fries are served in a brown bag but blows Mickey D's fries out of the water. The Decor reminds me of a Mom & Pop Diner, simple but effective. It looks like the Parker will not be able to keep their secret for long!

First the Parker Meridien created Norma's, the most amazing breakfast place in the world: cool, sleek, totally designed, outrageously tasty and creative food. Now, across the lobby, down a dark alley, you can find this hole-in-the-wall funky place that serves the best burger in town for only $4.50 (and that includes the sales tax!). The burger is just the right size, not one of those humongous things. Fits perfectly in your hands, and when you finish it you've had enough, without being stuffed. They actually cook them exactly to your liking with just the right toppings. The staff are really fun. The music makes you feel good. My biggest problem is stopping myself from going everyday and having a burger, fries, Sam Adams beer, and a brownie, all for $10! This is the kind of place that makes NYC the best!

Great burgers with a greasy-spoon atmosphere tucked away in the lobby of the Parker Meridien. The burgers are nicely grilled with no fancy cheese choices or fancy vegetables, just simple cheeseburgers with the traditional fixins'. Definitely worth the $5!

This place is amazing. I tried to find out who owned it so we could franchise and found out the hotel was actually smart enough to build this place. You have to know someone who knows someone to find it! or just go to the Parker Meridien Hotel and follow the wall with the curtain. The burgers are Perfect (that is all I can say!) and you get what you want on it for free! The fries are great and the two that work there (Frankie and Kim) are your personal entertainment. They are great fun! The best part is you can afford to go every day because a burger is only $4.50 (with tax). In a hotel you usually can't buy gum for that!

All the years I have been working in this neighborhood it is great to finally have a place to go, grab a bite, and reenergize (and not have to dent my wallet or wear a jacket). The spot is hidden in Le Parker Meridien Hotel (it's not hard to find)and is as basic as you can get, burger, fries, coke. I don't need to think about it (well, except if I want cheese or not) That's the beauty of it. The staff are great, the food is good, and the price is right on target.
