Simple, straightforward, great burgers at an amazing price for mid-town. Not sure how they do it, but these are way better than corner bisto or jg melons. To prove it, just try tasting the meat with nothing on it at each of these 3 places. You will have no doubts thereafter. To avoid the lines, go in the evening it is much more relaxed.

While visiting New York I stayed at the Meridien. Great Hotel. The best breakfast at Norma's. I don't remember(!) how I found the Burger Joint. Check out the A-List of people who have signed the wall. The burgers hit the spot, the atmosphere a breath of fresh air. Go check this place out!
A real burger

Just the best burger in town. Fast food as it supposed to be. Cheap, fresh, fast and DELICIOUSSSSS. The only place to go for burgers
Best burger in town

I'm a connaisseur on burgers and those burgers are graet. My wife likes the burgers well done, and even well done they are jucy. When you enter this small dining room, you forget that you are in New York. I have to say, evrything that you may look at in this room as been created with a lot of taste and imagination. My favorite place for a quick lunch.

You have to see it to believe it. My friend was taking me to lunch for my birthday. We meet at this really nice hotel (the Parker Meridien), so I am all excited that we are going for a Big Bucks Birthday lunch! Well, he walks me through this great lobby (so I am looking for the fancy place) and we walk right into this 'dive' (that is the best word I can think of). I am in shock! The place is a corner bar sort of - with Burgers and Fries and Soda and Brownies (and a beer too). Not 50 different burgers - just one! With or without cheese - your choice! That is it! But it was the BEST burger I have had since I came to NY. Cooked perfect - great fries. He spent a whopping $10 on my Birthday lunch (and that was with the Brownie!!) The real gift is now I know where to go for a Great Burger anytime!!
Hope it never goes away!

Fantastic burger. Probably the best in the city.
I'm Spoiled Forever
By burgerboy on 3/31/2003
On a recent trip to NYC, I accidentally stumbled into another world at Le Parker Meridien Hotel. No, it was not the Twilight Zone, it was the BURGER JOINT. Located in a secretive corner of Le Parker Meridien's main Lobby, the BURGER JOINT is hidden away from the rush of business in this upscale Hotel. At first, the BURGER JOINT shocked me with its collegiate/dormatory styled surroundings. It was an amusing contrast compared to the environment of this trendy Hotel. But things started to get serious after I ordered a burger and fries. When I had finished my meal, I realized that I was hopelessly spolied forever; unable to toletate any other buger except from the BURGER JOINT. My friends think it's a joke now but I really don't enjoy burgers from anywhere else ever since I've had pefection at the BURGER JOINT. There is no comparison anywhere to be found at any price. I have returned to the BURGER JOINT numerous times from a great distance and it's been worth it every time. And the price can't be beat, especially for NYC. The BURGER JOINT is truely awesome!
Wow, What a Find

First the Parker Meridien created Norma's, the most amazing breakfast place in the world: cool, sleek, totally designed, outrageously tasty and creative food. Now, across the lobby, down a dark alley, you can find this hole-in-the-wall funky place that serves the best burger in town for only $4.50 (and that includes the sales tax!). The burger is just the right size, not one of those humongous things. Fits perfectly in your hands, and when you finish it you've had enough, without being stuffed. They actually cook them exactly to your liking with just the right toppings. The staff are really fun. The music makes you feel good. My biggest problem is stopping myself from going everyday and having a burger, fries, Sam Adams beer, and a brownie, all for $10! This is the kind of place that makes NYC the best!
