I have been goiing on and off to this place for the last 10 years and despite staff turnover and other changes this place continues to deliver tasty food in a comfortable environment. Wish there were places like this.

Food is always fresh and consistently great! The brunch is amazing but don't miss out on their other meals of the day..everything on the menu is delicious!

Good brunch place in the East Village, heads up they dont serve coffee though only espresso. I reccommend the fontina omlette, pumpkin pancakes, and the middle eastern eggs. The outdoor seating is not all that comfortable, heads up!

It has been my dependable brunch spot for me and friends a while now. I have lived in the east village for just over my 10 year "new yorker" quota and think Orlin marks the border of great east village cafes. From St. Mark havens like Orlin (marks, 1st/A) and Mogador (marks, 1st/A) to newer spots like Gramstand (A, 13/14), Westville(A, 11), Cafecito (C, 12/13th), and 9th Street Espresso (9th, C/D) the upper EV is indeed the best place in nyc to chill/chow with friends casually.

This seems to be a singles hangout, and certainly a first-date/speed-date area. Also the number of people with notebook computers in the restaurant is on the increase. It's a great place to come for a quick bite and a glass of wine, if you want quick and decent food. The burger is pretty succulent and cooked well, although Jules down the end of the road does a better job on the burger! I can't really vouch for much else on the menu - but it's decent, in a great location and you won't be ripped off.
