Incredibly Poor Customer Service

Not only was our server awful, the manager on duty was completely unprofessional and the lack of customer service really set the tone. Not to mention, the food is not good, sub-par at best. Although this place is essentially 100 feet from my office, I will never go back to this restaurant.

Super cozy, welcoming feel, friendly staff... lovely restaurant!!

I visited here as i was walking back to my hotel and what lured me in was the halloween decorations! they were so nicely done, it brought me in! the restaurant is beautiful.. lots of beautiful details from the columns from floor to ceiling with ornate designs to the full length windows, to the beautiful crystal chandelors around the restaurant. The bar was nice as well, very cozy... you can imagine sitting there enjoying a glass of wine, looking out the windows to snow falling.... this restaurant just has that cozy welcoming feeling... I had the caprese salad( it was later in the evening so i didnt want a big meal). The caprese was very reasonably priced at $ 9.50, and was very good, fresh, perfectly spiced... it came with bread too.. just a nice relaxing enjoyable meal. The staff was friendly too, the bartender was very nice and made it a point to talk to everyone and made customers feel really welcome... I plan on returning again to try out other items on the menu. i looked at the menu and it is very varied. They had lots of great choices.. all kinds of things for all kinds of eaters!

This was the worst meal I have had in New York

My wine was corked, the second glass I tried was not but for a $10 glass tasted more like Chateau Diana. The service was patchy at best. The Maitre D could not be bothered to stand, even when talking to customers, preferring to sit at the bar with his back to the door and text on his cell. He wore his sunglasses on his head which was plain irritating at 9.30 at night. But the food - school meals all round. The chicken was still pink. We were given two slices of fresh bread - the rest was old bread that had been made into 'crispbread.' I am pretty sure the vegetables were frozen and even the rice was not only mean in portion, it tasted really of really cheap quality. It was about 30% full, mainly tourists who you felt were in New York for an occasion; what a great shame they would have been so disappointed by what was once a vibrant, fun beautifully designed restaurant serving great food.

By far, my favorite restaurant in the Theater District. Everyone is so nice and their Martinis are the best. You can have a nice light late night supper after the theater. What more does anyone want in life. They should have a Facebook Page.
