I booked a reservation here on Savored. When we got to the restaurant, they told us they would not honor the reservation as they had a private party of 16(!!!) The restaurant fits many more than 16. The waitress called the manager who said, sorry, nothing we can do. No call to cancel beforehand, no "we'll make it up to you." My parents had driven in from Connecticut and my sister had traveled from Pennsylvania for a joint birthday party for my father's 85th and niece's 16th. We rushed to another restaurant, waited for a table (because we didn't have a reservation) and then my sister and niece had to leave without dessert as they had to catch the last bus home. CAN'T BE COUNTED ON! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL EVENT PLANNED!
Not this Critic's Pick
By Froop on 11/25/2011
Perhaps I am too slavish to those little "Critic's Pick" checkmarks. Went out of my way to have lunch here based upon the recommendation and ended up wondering if I'd mis-read. Menu was predictable and uninspired. My entree salad was bland and I couldn't help but feel it had been ladled on the plate from a large vat rather than artfully prepared. Service was polite but the waiter was harried and the staff in general seemed to be racing around in perpetual fast-forward to the point of detracting from the "dining" experience. I think they need a little divine intervention to make this place worthy of a NYM checkmark.
Great spot for a business lunch

Near the office, clients were impressed by the space. No clusterf*ck over seating.
Great family brunch
By Ollie77 on 8/4/2010
We met our son and his girlfriend here for a lazy Saturday brunch in July. Maybe it was just because the city was deserted for summer but we had no complaints about service. We had a lovely time! It is difficult to find a restaurant on Park above 33rd with prices as pleasant as its food. The space is gorgeous and the menu did not disappoint. Will return for sure.
I left in tears

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had in New York, or anywhere for that matter. They were seriously understaffed. The hostess ended up taking our order and bringing our drinks. We never had an actual server come to our table. We waited for long periods to get our drinks, and food. We had to ask the hostess for bread. Once we received our meal, we wanted to order wine, but no one ever came to take our order or even check on us. My husband finally had to get up and walk to the hostess stand to ask for a manager. When the manager finally came to the table, he was dismissive and told us their main focus was outdoor service in the summer and gave us the bill. I was so baffled by this rudeness after the horrible service on our anniversary, I burst into tears! He took the check away, rolling his eyes and stating, "Don't even worry about it". He walked away without any other words, not even an apology. I have never been more disappointed in the service industry. One of my favorite things about New York is the amazing restaurants and the service you get at these restaurants. I will pay top dollar for good service and a great meal, but I will NEVER return to Inside Park at St. Bart's and I suggest you, the reader, never do either.

I had some appetizer there yesterday. When the check arrived, service charge was included, but the check stated on the bottom "Service charge is not included" Be aware, I never will go back for that reason.
Run...don't walk to this great eatery!

We loved everything about Inside Park at St. Bart's. The atmosphere...the food...the music...and, especially, the service. Antonio was the BEST. You are lucky if you get him. Inside Park at St. Bart's is a treasure spot that we will be back often to.

I was pleasantly surprised! I thought the restaurant would be packed with tourists. Instead, the ambiance was calm and relaxed. The dining room is amazing: incredibly bright, spacious, and a terrific mix of old-world and modern. The food was delicious: a great blend of upscale American with a European twist. I LOVE this place-- perfect for a date, a business lunch, or family meals.

These people run a restaurant with quite decent food at fair prices. Problem is, they only give you a reservation if you're a party of 6 or more. They seem to want to get cocktail trade rather than develop a loyal customer base that would sustain them during the fall and winter when they can't use the outdoor patio. Consequently, no one pays attention to them in the cold weather and the place is always half-empty with the staff sitting around doing nothing. And, it's extremely annoying when you want a reservation (in the summer on the patio) and they won't give you one.
