Every night I walk passed this restaurant; I taught how beautiful and romantic this place is. I decided to take my partner in to have a good night! It was the worse place I have ever been to. We eat out a lot in many restaurants, and I am also in the industry and this was the worse night ever. From the minute we walked in some one shouted get the door! This place is also absolutely beautiful however, it is a very unique. My server had no training first of all , she broke the cork in my wine bottle, the appetizers and entrees came out at the same time, food was cold and poor quality for the prices,( now I am not frugal, but I do know food very well and how it should be served) wrong fish was given to me, not to mention it was raw, first time I ever spat food out , the rack of lamb was skimpy, over cooked, it was not even a portion size.. I will never go back because the food, service and their approach to hospitality was ignorant. .

2 other couples and I went here for my fiancees birthday. we sat in the tent seats..whch are romantic but I stongly advise everyone to wear their Speedos and bikinis because it is as hot as the desert! When you sit with the tent surrounding you there is no air ...i had walk outside to get air twice. 2 bathrooms both unisex makes for an awkward moment in the restroom while the person waiting is looking through the smoky glass doors. THe belly dancer strinking and beautiful performed for 20minutes. Thats it. We ordered this champagne and hibiscus flower drink at 15.00 @ piece. The price of the drinks was not givein at the time and after 4 rounds and 195.00 it brought our biill for 6 people on the prefix to 639.00 w.out tip. Quite a pricey place but the food was good and the atmosphere was loud and romantic.

I thought it would be a great place to take my coworkers out for a good time, boy was I wrong. We get there and could have been seated but then they man handled us into getting a tent not letting us know till we are seated that we can only have the pre-priced menu at $55 per person. The service was horrible, the waiter took forever to serve us and when he did he was not personable. What started out to be a good evening, dragged on with the service and then ended by the manager bringing over what was supposed to be 5 free shots but charged it to our bill and my debit card was charged $24 over what the bill was, which by the way never got taken care of!

Best to make reservations, if not, you will eat in a rush...meal comes like clock work. 5 course meal ($55) very satisfying yet maneageable for those counting calories! Go for a late dinner and enjoy the belly dancers or reserve a tent and eat and be served in privacy like royalty.

we love to sit at the bar for a drink and hummus. It's a little pricey for everyday fare, but for a few hours out, it's lively, festive, the drinks are strong, and the hummus is AMAZING. THe decor is great (especially in the summer with the front windows open). Don't let the snooty hostess put you off, the bartenders are more than willing to accomodate you.

After reading Hal Rubenstein's review in NY magazine, we went to Casa La Femme North. We all love middle eastern food. Even though the restaurant was empty on Friday at 6:00 pm, they tried to strong arm us and push us into their "tents" where they stated we can ONLY order the $55 five course meal. Finally after standing outside for some tenn minutes, doing us a favor we were seated. Appetizers, though good, are tiny and expensive. Wine was mediocre at $8 and $12 by the glass. Service was mediocre. They cannot handle more than six diners. The NY magazine review has "swamped" them, but for a short while. Soon they will be back to their previous empty state of mind.
