This is my favorite place in NYC. The food is delicious and unlike any other menu in the city. Super Romantic and has a that special relaxed and sexy vibe that is Brazil. They now serve Brunch. Drink capairinhas.

My date and I split the recommended Feijoada & pan-fried fish - both fantastic and come with great sides. Delicious food, cozy restaurant, nice drinks. The only complaint? Creepy bride & groom statues situated over the door staring us down...

Worth repeat visits! Food is delicious, service and ambiance very welcoming. Lovely experience overall, great place for a leisurely meal. I highly recommend the shrimp with kabocha squash, beefsteak, and yucca fries (crisp, light, and tasty!).

If you are looking for a Rio typical food experience, this is the place to eat. Incredible homemade brazilian food in the cutest restaurant in west village. My boyfriend brought me there for my birthday, it was the perfect birthday's dinner. Advise: make a reservation and try their capirinhas. We got the filet mignon and the Bife Acebolado: both excellent.

One of the more memorable dining experiences in the recent past. I had the Feijoada ($20), the "Brazilian national dish" of stewed meat with beans, collared greens, rice and farofa. It arrived in a beautiful (and deceptively small) earthenware pot. The stew was dense and flavorful, and a surprisingly generous portion ideal for sharing. My date had the Moqueca de Frutos Do Mar ($19), the squid stew in coconut milk accompanied by the most delicate, buttery pureed yucca, which was also positively delicious. The service was responsive, warm, and non-pretentious and the food infused with zestful new flavors. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the ambiance of the space at night--the rustic interior, flickering candlelight and glistening caipirinhas -- made for a refreshingly stress-free dining experience.

The food, decor and service were great. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was close to perfect. I really can't think of many shortcomings.

This is a great place to be in a cute street within the West Village. Everytime I go there I feel full yet somehow not bloated. Also it's close to a few nice bars for after dinner wine and drinks. Only drawback would be that sometimes the waitresses act a bit awkward, maybe due to overcrowding and backlog reservations.

It's a small place with a large enough menu to draw me back, particularly after tasting the feijoida my husband ordered along with the delicious lime specialty drink whose name I can't remember (okay, I had a few beers). I had the pork chops, also nicely done with rice & beans. We were extremely pleased by our dinners, as were the friends who'd suggested we go. It's fun, not too noisy, reasonably priced (dinner with drink was probably around $32).
