I went there the other day. My friend told me the dessert is so good, so I had a high expectation. Surprise, surprise...it was NOTHING good about it. There is no taste, no flavor, so small (I could finish in 2 bites...) and so pricey..... I will NEVER go back there. Give my money back!

I wanted my out-of-town guests to have a unique NYC experience and this place delivered 1000%. Always crowded, this 20-seat, modern, chic hidden gem has fast turnover. We waited about 15 minutes. You MUST sit at the bar.. sitting at the tables is pointless because half the fun is watching Chicka make your desserts in front of you! For $12, you get an amuse buche, a choice of an dessert and a finishing of petit fours which are a daily surprise. We started with an espresso gelee & vanilla cream - absolutely out of this world. If this is your first time, definitely try the Frommage Blanc - I couldn't believe that this was a cheesecake... it literally melted in my mouth. My friends had the Hot Apple Soup with Carmel ice cream and the Chocolate tart with peppercorn ice-cream. We sampled each others and couldn't stop eating. I'm addicted.. and believe me, I will be taking ALL my out-of-town guests here!

On a beautifully sunny New York City day in early august I was introduced by friends to what will forever be a favorite addiction ChickaLicious Dessert Bar located at 203 E. 10th Street (at 2nd ave.). That day I indulged in the very reasonably priced 3 course Prix Fixe menu not once but twice as I brought my mother back later that evening to delight in the heavenly treats. The experience was wonderfully mind blowing as my palate was enchanted by light, clean, fresh flavors it had never had the opportunity to experience before. The experience is not complete without the perfectly chosen wine pairings that don't simply compliment the desserts but actually augment them. It has quickly become my favorite place, the train ride no longer seems extensive because as the streets whiz by I dream about poached fruits, brioche bread puddings, ginger biscuits with caramel sorbet in lime soup and of course of my favorite the Basil sorbet. I can't seem to stop myself from telling others about it and when asked how it is I always reply the same way, "It was Perfect."

My best friends took me out to ChikaLicious for my birthday and we were treated like princesses. I ordered the Hot Caramel Custard Soup with Roma Apple Sorbet and Kataifi??? Clusters ; with the wine pairing, and both were delicious. We were taken by our waiter's warmth and consideration...the most knowledgeable, most attentive service I've ever had anywhere in Manhattan. Service was comparable to top-notch restaurants like Per Se/Masa, but in sneakers and without the pretense. We will definitely return.

The desserts might be good, but you can't tell because they are so small. They are petitfours that cost $12 each!. The restaurant is extremely small, so we waited a long time for a table. And although the server was very friendly, the service was extremely slow...it took 30 minutes to get our tiny desserts. The two of us shared two desserts and I could barely tell you what my tiny half tasted like. There are much better dessert places that give you a better value. We left still craving dessert... Don't go!

Each dessert was $12...a hefty price for a tiny dessert. The desserts were LITERALLY smaller than one bite, therefore I was not able to tell if they were actually good. We waited in the cold for over 45 minutes to try this Zagat rated dessert bar (as they only have about 15 seats). When we finally got a table we waited another 40 minutes just to get the TINY TINY dessert. I have never seen a dessert so tiny. It was a complete waste of time and money!! Why wait so long and spend so much when you cant even taste it? Don't ever go there, you'll be sorry

Everything about this dessert bar exudes class. The high quality of the desserts, service and ambiance make this the best date venue in the city. I adored the Steamed Apple Pudding Cake and the amuses were amazing.

Not the quintessential stuffy fine dining atmosphere where the server gives you a look if you cannot pronunce the entree properly! Your great experience will begin with a warm welcome at their door. The service is impeccable, You will receive excellent service from your server without interruption that allows you to gaze across into that special someone's eyes. The dessert reccomendations are six. The Fromage is flavorful and airy, the sweet potato pancake melts on your tongue. Lastly, the petit fours are heavenly, so take a break from that diet for one night and treat yourself, you deserve it!

I had my first dessert here last weekend. The server, who was excellent, recommended a fantastic Fromage Blanc. He steered me toward the house special. It was extraordinary. The presentation and combination of flavors throughout the three courses was exquisite. I'll be back.

Excellent Desserts, personal and knowledgeable service in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere.ChikaLicious is a small restaurant with a highly innovative menu for a very reasonable price. The owners are very friendly and attentive to their guests. It is evident they take a lot of pride in their work and it shows because every Dessert on the menu was superb (had all six and cheese plate). The experience was worth every penny. I can't wait to go back!
